TFW2005.com have found these new images at a Japanese toy forum of MP-05 Megatron and the forthcoming show accurate Beast Wars repaints from TakaraTomy.
Megatron looks Ace, yeah his legs are skinny and the presence of the stand does worry me but over all I'm still eagerly looking forward to getting one of these. The more i see of these BW repaint the more of them i want, Black Arachina looks fantastic, Dinobot has a mouth and even Waspinator, Cheetor, and Rhinox have more detailed show accurate paint jobs. Looks like I'm going to have to replace most of my Hasbro 10th anniversary figures with these. Takara just have a far better eye for detail that Hasbro it seems.

Im glad to see the Decepticon symbol on Megatrons chest. I though he looked a little bland without it.
The stand may just be there incase the display case is shunted.
That alt mode looks great. Cant believe some people might have to have a blob of orange stuck to the end.
Not so fussed about the Beast Wars stuff but they do look very nicely painted. Somebody has obviously taken some time to study the subject matter.

you know, i really wouldn't mind having an off-scale gun mode as long as the robot mode is good looking. Even though the transformation design and the color scheme are both exceptionally well done for the Masterpiece Megatron, I just can't get over the skeleton-look of it.

some of the retailers that are importing megatron are adding either permanent orange caps, or orange painted tips. thats no rumor, as of now bigbadtoystor and HLJ have both stated they are doing so, that is old news.
and as of yet, seibertronian new hasnt led me astray, the news crew here do one damned good job. thats why i post here.

Megatron looks really misproportioned, skinny legs, large torso, large canon, and his head looks a little long in those pics.
The BW figs are all a big pass for me, I own all the molds I like already so maybe that is why I'm so uninterested.

Wow! That is great. Megs looks spectacular. BW repaints look nice. The OPs and Megs are kinda crappy, why did they use RM? Would a been cooler if they went with some sweet transmetalage. Cheetor looks amazing. I love the paint apps. I thought my 10th anniversary Cheetor looked good, but that is the definition of how a great transformer should look. Dinobot looks really good too. I love the new head. Howlinger looks nice. I don't know why he's red, but it works for me. Rhinox looks more accurate, and don't get me started on how great Blackarachnia looks. The rest are alright. But seriously, WOW!

The Beast Wars, well outside of Blackarachnia and Cheetor, I already have them, so my personal intrest is gone.
Actualy, I have several Cheetors, but that cat face looks to goofy to pass up.
My Blackarachnia has seen better days, so maybe it's time to trade up on her.
Otherwise, they are reissuing some great figures and I can't say enough, if you don't have them, you should look into getting them.

Megatron looks really cool... if only they could do something to make his legs look a little stronger/thicker.
The beast wars repaints are in most cases better than I would expect. I don't know if I'll get them or not (as I have most of the figures), but there's a higher chance now that I've seen these pics...

In that picture it looks as if Waspinator actually has a new head as opposed to the original w/mutant head painted like we got with the 10th Anniversary figures. I still don't understand why they don't just remove the mutant heads on Rhinox and Dinobot though.

I think its less an eye for detail and more a willingness to push the price up if they feel more paint apps are needed. Hasbro starts with the price point and everything choice from then on is effected by it. They will not push to a higher price point, thus sometimes a figure suffers. Takara has no problem pushing up the price if they think it gets a better product that collectors are more likely to buy.
