I'm not impressed. You didn't say a word about his coloring and that what really bothers me. He looks more like Ultra Magnus than Optimus Prime. In fact I plan on maybe getting 2 of them because I do like the mold I just think he needs a more traditional paint job. (Blue helmet, blue legs, blue hands, red body.)

I'm not really 100% sure how he transforms. I either wanna have him in robot mode and just paint him with an exact color sceme of G1 Prime or put him in "Astroid" mode and paint the whole thing red then transform to robot and paint the other parts, that didn't show in "Astroid" mode, blue.

Either way I really don't like that greyish blue color he's got on now. He looks like he was never actully painted at all, just looks like a prototype.

I know Ultra Magnus is white but both he and this new Optimus both are mainly a single rather bland looking color sceme so I wouldn't mind if it was ment to be Ultra Magnus it just doesn't work for Optimus.

Get it. Protoform Starscream is cool. The only problem I have with it is a strange one. Op looks like a snowball and Screamer has a more structured design so they clash a little. If you don't, you're going to regret it later.
I'm thinking about get a second of each to repaint in classic colors and giving Screamer wings.
Seriously, buy it.

I'd say get Starscream. He's not as cool as Prime, but he still has his good points. And I don't have any problem with primes colors. It is his protoform after all.

Wow, I'm suprised at the love for these figures. To me they just look like stylized turds for their alt mode. I am passing on those two as I speak.

I really think you should give Prime a shot. He really surprised me by how nice he is in robot mode.

Um... reread my post I was saying it ALLREADY looks like Ultra Magnus.

I wanna repaint it to look more like Optimus Prime. Optimus being a greyish blue color all over doesn't look right.

Starscream may be Poop Brown but even he has a better overall color sceme.

Prime's a good figure. I don't need the Starscream though. He does nothing for me.

Who would have thought that twenty years after the Go-Bots, Transformers buy into the Rock Lords. Seesh.

Personally neither of these figues do anything for me.

I like them both, and SS has a more robotic looking entry mode. I'd say grab SS too, what the hell.

So, what I'm reading is that everyone that DOESN'T already have these figure says THEY SUX

But everybody that HAS them, has gotten to do their really great transformation, and put them on the shelf really digs them.

Don't be an elitist. Just because they're unconventional, doesn't mean they're bad figs.

I have both, and Prime is easily the better of the two. Starscream is a little awkward really. And his entry mode is a little on the unstable side. Still, he is worth getting.

I never said they were bad figures and I don't have them yet. I said I dislike their color scemes. (Prime more than Starscream but don't like Starscream's poop brown much either.)

I don't care what the packaging says though they don't look like Astroids to me. I think they're just Cybertronian vehicles. Why would an astroid have a whindshield?

I concur, I have a rocklord, the redish bad one, looks tons better than these. With that, I am suggesting a toy rock is fun. >_>

I'd rather say that I don't like the look of the meteorite release figures. The vehicle based figures look a lot better in my opinion - I don't think that it makes me an elitist. Beastwars were unconventional but they're fantastic.

A rock to me doesn't have much playability.
