Hasbro.com has posted the bios for upcoming releases Salvage with Bomb-Burst, and Undertow with minicon Waterlog.

SALVAGE has gone through a lot since the AllSpark first brought him to life. A few rounds of upgrades brought his vehicle mode into the modern era, and the Power Core process powered him up to unheard-of levels. He’d still rather be back at the junkyard, but if the DECEPTICONS want a fight, he’s ready to give them one.

Power up for the ultimate robot battles! Your SALVAGE figure is already a virtually unstoppable opponent in his vehicle and robot modes. But his strength gets doubled when you factor in your BOMB-BURST figure and his four modes! Convert this MINI-CON ally figure to weapon accessories for him when he’s in monster truck vehicle mode or Commander mode. Then, convert your BOMB-BURST figure into an armor accessory for your SALVAGE figure’s Power Up Mode!...

UNDERTOW was stupid and mean even before the Power Core process turned him into a Combiner. He hates folks who think they’re smart, and now he has more than enough power to smash those guys to pieces.

Huh, so again they are tying the PPC line in with the Transformers Movie line. Looking at Salvage's bio from the first movie line it says that the allspark brought him to life and that he would prefer living in the junkyard peacefully. This says basically the same thing. Interesting.

That's because Hasbro is running out of ideas. I don't know, as much as I'd like to get into PCC, I just can't.

Running out of ideas? You DO know that a good portion of 'new' Transformers from all lines are copying past TF's bios/names, too.

Well, it could also be the Animated timeline...

In short, because the Wachowski brothers ganked the term "Matrix", the Allspark has become the go-to term for whatever brought the TF's to life.

Poor Salvage. This mold sucks. This would actually be a DOWNGRADE, because the Dropkick/Salvage mold is one of my favorite movieverse ones.... He's also now colored like Blowpipe/Pipes.

Undertow is at least a cool looking not crappy boat-former that's not a shellformer.

Personally I just ignore the drones save the two guys I have it made sense for, Bombshock so he'd stop getting teams killed off, and Steamhammer because he has Devestator envy, and use the scout sized robots and minicons in lieu of minibots and micromasters (as a few of them are updated mm chars) with my Classics/Generations stuff.

... Though now that I think about it. Add a minicon to the air team and the 'protectobots' for a sixth unit, and you'd have Sixwing and Sixturbo.
