Not really digging the colors.... Maybe if they would have made the whole chest area black with a white flame decal and just made his upper legs white and take the purple highlight off his head and made it all black.

I kinda wish they would have repainted this in Takara car robot Speedbreaker colors & persona. I view speedbreaker as car robots alternate universion version of hotrod. i envision fireconvoy dying or receiving battle damage & handing the matrix over to speedbreaker. speedbreaker would power up into his prime leader form. sideburn did get a TFCC recolor using the classics 1.0 deluxe rodimus toy mold. might as well go all the way & give the speedbreaker/sideburn character the mp rodimus toy mold via a recolor.
i use to be a fan of black & grey takara repaints. but after a while they just seemed like souless/sparkless drones with dull color schemes. at least for me the regular colors look better than the black recolors. examples: bw2nd lioconvoy regular colors. animated leader sized megatron looks better than the black recolor.

Seems like an awfully superfluous way to spend over $200. I can appreciate Takara wanting to recoup expensive tooling costs, but this just seems completely unnecessary.
At least Galvatron has two logical colourschemes if they decide to make a Masterpiece out of him.

IMHO, G-1 Galvatron has 3 logical color schemes if they decide to make a masterpiece out of him. (1) Toy colors which was used in the marvel TF G-1 comics. (2) Anime colors which was used in the 1986 movie,season 3 & the Takara Japanese headmasters cartoon series. (3) the FFOD Season 3 lava bath translucent orange colors that often get used as CHASE exclusive colors.

You're right! I hadn't considered "lava Galvatron" as an option.
