So, I'm in South Korea and a Transformers fan. This country is so inconsistant when it comes to releases of my favorite franchise. For the last few months, all I have seen on shelves is wave 1 PRID Deluxe toys, Wave 1 and 2 Voyager and quite a few waves of Legends. There is still DOTM toys on sale in quite large numbers too.
I went to my local supermarket (emart) tonight not expecting to see anything new but I checked anyway. What I found blew me away. Masterpiece Sunstorm, Asia Exclusive Sixshot, Movie Masterpiece Bumblebee and (finally) Bot Shots.
S. Korea does this from time to time. It will have only a tiny selection of current stuff then out of the blue something amazing arrives. There has been a large influx of old lines lately. I got Beast Wars II, Armada and Galaxy Force toys, boxed for less than $10.
Korea both frustrates the hell out of me and knocks my socks off at the same time.

Sonokong still brings out Beast Wars II? Dang, I need to look into that.

I don't think they are new. Some of the boxes look pretty old. My MISB Magmatron was a great surprise.

At least it's good to know they're still out there. By the by, are you familiar with the Yuusha/Brave series? If so, did you spot any of those?

Yeah, I've ordered a few Korean figures. I wish they would make more of those older figures and export them! There's a big market of collectors who would love to get newly-manufactured MISB versions of those figures.

Last time I was there in December.
I got United Nemesis Prime, AM Orion Pax and Dark Energon DOtM Megatron.
Also saw Black Jetwing prime for $150USD, but I already had it(Paid alot more for mine...)
But for the most part, it's lacking. Try the toysrus at lotte world maybe?
Where did you find your AEC stuff for under $10? was looking for dem Korean AEC lines. Managed to get Cybertron Crosswise and Alert for under $10 previously, but that was in 2009...

Aside from the psychological impact of having a different coded box(for the Sonokong versions that is), the quality's quite great.

I don't know about official Hasbro Armada but the Sono Kong stuff is kinda flimsy. Galaxy Force stuff was great though.

Weird, I have seen the Nemesis Prime but not the DOTM Megatron or Orion Pax. I can get lots of Junkions if I wanted and thanks to my hobby shop I picked up 3 Takara Scourges to make up my Sweeps. I haven't gone to the ToysRUs at Lotte world so I will check that out. I got thee AEC stuff from Toy Alley in Dongdaemun. About half way down the road there is a place that sells without VAT. They have discounted toys all around, normally at the front of the shop. They currently have mint on card Beast Wars Retrax but the toy looks to ugly to buy.
