The Spacebridge brings us another image of a cancelled Transformers Universe toy. Planned to be released in the original Transformers Universe line. This is a repaint of Beast Machines Jetstorm. According to The Spacebridge, they do not know the name of the cancelled character but the toy was scrapped at the same time Toxitron was for unknown reasons.

Na the original had a kinda chrhome navy blue to it. This...I...What is this an homage to? it seems familiar? also kinda sorta looks like

Cool! I wonder what character he was supposed to be, Cyclonus? if there was a Skywarp repaint, maybe this was Thundercracker (I know that´s a different mold), or just a new character?... I love when this things come out.

Cyclonus was already done. Looks to me like they were just trying to make a larger jet drone.

Then again, Universe repaints rarely looked like what they were named for.

Maybe it was just going to be "Universe Jetstorm" without a new-named identity.

That would be my guess too.

Certainly wouldn't be the first Universe figure to retain the original name and have a slightly modified paint deco.

Where you guys are seeing Cyclonus in this figure though... I don't know, maybe I haven't had enough to drink tonight because I sure as heck don't see it at all. Not even close.

Silly thought, but if he really was to be named Jetstorm, he'd fit right in with the likes of Universe Tankor and Obsidian. Not to mention Primal's summoning of Rhinox in fiction takes care of the plot hole of Jetstorm and Silverbolt being around at the same time: alternate universe incarnations. :-B

Now all we need to see is a canceled Deluxe Thrust repaint. :lol:

Well, though such toy hasn't surfaced, there was an alterante universe Thrust who appeared in the comic.

I F-ing happy this thing didn't hit the shelves and ended up hitting the curb. :grin:

The beast machine line was lame as hell. At least, they prooved that Beast wars toys could be improved and appealing...

anyway I feel I'm gonna get a lot of heat because of what I said about the machines line. Still, the mold is a lot of meh, and the paint scheme is a lot of yuck :SICK:

THANK you! That was exactly what I was thinking when I saw this article. The Ultra Jetstorm figure was one of my few favorite of the BM toys UNTIL its' chrome turned to crap. I never touched it again after discovering this because it disheartened me so. :-(
