Laughing at Frenzy
Frenzy has some of the funniest moments in the movie, but there is one part I have never been able to understand:
Every time I watch the movie, in that scene on Air Force One when he is breaking into the computer and the keyboard like tray comes out, and he goes to work on it, tapping on panels, typing, etc, there is always a huge laugh from some hysterical sounding woman.
Either it's the same woman in all the 4 cinemas I've watched that movie, or I'm missing something, an injoke perhaps. Anyone else have this reaction, and if so, what specifically is so hilarious about the moment?

Frenzy = screwball. Simple as that. He's so hyper and stuff.
Life can be pretty sweet when your alt-mode is a B-2 Stealth Bomber.

What theater did you go to? At the same time, both times I have watched the movie, some hysterical woman laughed when Frenzy was doing the hacking stuff. Do you think it may have been part of the movie?
This is weird.
Edit: Oh, it is part of the move. I thought I was going crazy.

Is that right? It's from the movie and not the theatre? If so that explains a lot... it does sound like the same laugh all the time I've watched it! Thanks!

LOL! I thought the same thing. I thought it was a poorly placed laugh track which I couldn't believe they would do in the movie. I pointed it out to one of my friends and they told me that it was one of the flight attendants which is why Frenzy reacts like he's startled. So #5, #6 and #7 I watched it knowing what happens correctly but it still seems oddly out of place.

It always sounds like it's coming from behind you, doesn't it? For the first two times I was thinking that is sounded like it came from the audience.

It was the woman getting the president his "ding-dong", "dingbat", whatever it was he asked for. I don't know why but it definably sounded like her.

Some woman was laughing hysterically both times I saw it, too. Extremely weird.
Makes me wonder if it is actually in the film...

close... but,
Frenzy = Jar-Jar Binks.
Not quite. He's a spaz, not an idiot.

Sake for the fact Frenzy is downright evil, looks cool instead of annoying and most importantly Gets Himself Killed.
If only Jar Jar would've done the same

(and personally I found Frenzy far funnier than Jar Jar. And I have been a Star Wars fan longer than a TransFan.)[/u]

No, Frenzy had purpose an meaning, plus he beating the crap out of those air force one guards. Jar Jar was pointless.

What a terrible insult to Frenzy

Actually he reminded my wife of that chipmunk thing in Ice Age with his acorn

yeah Jar Jar was clumsy and meant as comic relief. I dunno why someone would think that putting in a charictar with the voice that sounds like nails on a chalkboard would be funny?

I thought it was very funny as he made his way from Air Force 1 to Barricade that he put his hand up to his face so the humans wouldn't see him. Liked his little 'Insects' comment too.
I think he had the essence of the G1 Frenzy even down to his frenzied attacks. Seems a pity now that Barricade wasn't called Soundwave.
