BB vs. Barricade
When Bumblebee fights Barricade, he leaves him as a beat to hell mess, but leaves him alive regardless. Me personally, I'd have put one right through his head to make sure he wasn't ever a problem later, like when he mobilized with the other decepticons and chased them on the highway. So what's the reasoning for leaving your arch enemy twitching and not just offing the guy? It was cool though to see him beat to crap, but it'd have made more sense to finish him.
Thoughts?

he already beat the hell out of him so bad, that BB figured he was done for. besides, he was more worried about summoning all the other autobots.

If I'd been fighting these guys for thousands upon thousands of years or whatnot, I'd have taken the extra 5 seconds to pop him a good one and make sure. One more shot at close range surely couldn't take that long.

what may have happened is that barricade WAS supposed to die, but they screwed up when editing. they did film a lot of stuff out of order(as most films do), so anything could happen.

BB probably wasn't sure. He was fighting head to head and then took out the ol'cannon and left Barricade a mangled mess, he probably thought barricade was done, and if not, He was not a serious threat anymore.
But from a real life perspective, that scene was cool. I thought it was funny having barricade lie there messed up and barely able to move, and BB and company driving off.

When in doubt put one between his eyes or in his spark. I do agree with you, why leave him there so that he can come back again, they say they wont take a life (lame) but how many lives will be lost as a result of him being allowed to live. Bumblebee dispatched him relatively easily if they took up killing the war could have ended many years ago

I just thought that BB must have thought that with the beating he gave him, Barricade was going to go into status lock.

Maybe BB wanted Barricade to think about what he'd done, after beating the utter crap out of him.
Too bad we didn't get to see the final blows.

You know that it might be possible that Barricade is Prowl undercover... They were fighting in front of Sam so he could believe that Barricade is a Decepticon...

im just not feeling that theory. barricade came WAY too close to killing sam, and frenzy was way to dangerous for prowl to use, even undercover.

Batman has a personal view that goes against actually killing. He's paid for Joker's rehabilitation for years.
On the other hand, the Transformers being in a war, killing is surely part of the way of life for them, autobot or decepticon. I really agree with Pontimax01... he should have finished him off. Maybe not nailed him between the eyes, which would have detracted from BB sympathy, but that scene after Barricade raises his head slightly then falls back, that should have been his last scene. The implication would've been the same.
And it sure would have explained his absence at the end!

But then, so does athlete's foot, so that might not be a recommendation.

Jazz is 3 times smaller than Megs... Barricade is almost even bigger than BB! He can't rip him in half.

then why would he release megatron and kill a bunch of people?? even an undercover autobot wouldn't do that!

Maybe they have history
Maybe they have history... like Prime and Megs... or like Omega Supreme and the Constructicons. I mean... we don't know hardly anything about the relationship between any of these guys sides what we read on the back of their action figures. But it's a whole new erz of TF's.
Bumblebee and Barricade could have been old chums, then separated during the war... and now are bitter rivals. That would be sick to see a rematch. They fought in the prequel, in TF #1, sounds like we need a true test to see who wins here???
Anyone?

Theres that inconsistency again, Prime Killed Bonecrusher so maybe its not an autobot rule but just that Bumblebee is soft. The other thing I noticed is that when they were at the dam, and the boy went to go get Bumblebee he was waving his gun around like he intended to shoot the S7 guys and the boy had to talk him down, did he really intend to shoot? And where was that fierceness when they were taking him in ... while Im on that, Prime's rational that they cant free him without hurting the Humans was lame, really really lame, not just on account that he allowed them to take Honeybee, but now they have one less solider to fight with, so if they did hurt the S7 guys, thats a smaller number of casualties compared to what could potentially happen if Megatron and Co. won. Same thing outside of the boy's house hiding from his parents. They said at the start of the movie that this cube could destroy worlds, but I just don't get that sense of urgency from the autobot's actions.
