Shia LaBeouf Hypes Up Transformers
CanMag sat down with Transformers Movie Shia LaBeouf and had an exclusive interview with the young actor. LaBeouf did his best to promote this movie by making several comments on the production of it.
"I've seen more of the film. The movie's insane. It's going to do for action what The Matrix did for action. ILM said, and this is the company that does like Star Wars and Superman. They do all the big ones, Pirates of The Caribbean, they said they'd never worked on anything like this. They'd never done graphics at this level. This is the most insane thing they've ever done. They said if they were to present their company to anybody, it would be that movie".
"Look, as long as you make sure Welker is in and you make sure that Cullen is Optimus. If anyone else is Optimus the movie is terrible. It has to be Cullen. Now Welker is older, much older than Cullen and his voice has changed. I’ve heard him in sessions. He'd be great as another robot but to play Megatron you need somebody powerful and Hugo Weaving is powerful. I think its great casting to but I think the fans are going to have an issue with it".

Lots of insanity? Sounds good to me.
I do have a feeling this is going to hit fans with a similar impact to the Martix. It blew people away in the 80s, and it's primed (ugh, that wasn't intentional) to do it again.

Anyone taking odds on the probability that CanMag cleaned up the quotes before they put them online?

Blimey. Looks like LaBoeuf's either a fan himself and knows what the fans would be after, or he's done his research.
And after looking at the full article, it appears it's the former.
I like what he said about his motivation for being in the movie.
"...the initial being in the movie was never a paycheck. None of us got paid above $70,000 dollars. We were all there to blow **** up."
Nice.

I have absolutely no problem with Weaving as Megatron, it's Megs design I take issue with...
I never really cared about the robots' voices, but having Cullen as Prime is like a bonus really: something I never expected, but was grateful for when it happened.
And after seeing some of LeBeouf's (I really have to learn to start spelling his name right) other films, I must say he is quite the rising star, and I think he is perfect for the film, to the point where I honestly can't imagine anyone else playing the human lead in the movie.

Shia just makes me want to punch him.
He's a filthmouth for no apparent reason, other than he's just purely ignorant and lacks any tact.
You don't talk like he does in an interview. What the hell is his problem?

Did you even read the interview? He was quite polite to be honest.

To be honest, a Gobot with a monkey wrench could take down movie megs. Those armour plates do reveal a lot of important machinery!
