LaBeouf Impresses Troops

Postby Raymond T. » Thu Oct 02, 2008 11:43 am

A follow up article on Shia LaBeouf's most recent injury has appeared on the site of Contact Music.

The actor did not request hospital treatment after the accident on the set of Revenge of the Fallen, after his eyelid was injured when a explosion stunt went wrong. Instead, LaBeouf was treated by the medical team at Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico and resumed shooting the movie four hours later.

"We were all pretty impressed. Shia's making a lot of friends on the set of this film - he's a real guy who smokes like a fiend. To get up from a movie explosion, which leaves you injured, and get back in there is cool".

"He's got broken fingers from his car crash this summer (08) and now his eyelid has been slashed open. I guess he's lucky he still has his sight".

Yeah. I guess most people would have also figured that he would scream for his mommy the moment he did get hurt. But it's cool to know that he got back on the job for this movie only a few hours later.

I'm sure there are enough Hollywood names that would stop production for at least a day or two for just a broken nail or something.

Boo who.

I guess it's just that after having his eyelid cut and his finger broke that he's a mans' man now. Gee, I fall down a 15 ft embankment into a river, get gashes on my arms from doing tree work, fall through (it rotted out underneath me) the bucket on the backhoe while it's up in the air and I kept going. Fun yea.

That was last week.

It just seems incredibly stupid that the troops think he's awesome or whatever after such minor injuries. Sure an eyelid injury could be bad but it wasn't. I applaud him going back to work but still... sheesh.

Why would you stand in a rusted out backhoe bucket to begin with?

Just saying. I've done construction on and off for years and had more then my fair share of painful accidents and kept working, I'm not knocking you, just saying, you didn't see the bucket was rotted out before you stepped into it and let someone lift you off the ground? That's what cherry pickers are for.

As for Shia, I thought he had a gash in his forehead. One in his eyelid is definitely more impressive.

Chicks dig scars. :APPLAUSE:

btw I like the article saying, "Did not request medical treatment" then 2 seconds later talking about how he was treated by the Air Force medical team. That's uhm,......medical treatment.

Bah. He doesn't need scars to impress the women. All he has to do is be himself. They realize he's a movie star and that he has money. 'Nuff said.

And you are correct. That's medical treatment, where I come from, but hey, they want to spin it so he's even moar awesome? More power to them.

...I do love that it sounds stupid though.

Unless someone changed it to what it reads now, I do believe I did wrote HOSPITAL treatment, but got treated by the local medics instead.

And if I did write it wrong and it was changed, that was what I meant.
