BotCon News: Review of Movie Event and Crowd Reaction! (NO SPOILERS)
Well, what can I say. BEST MOVIE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!
Just got back from the BotCon Screening of the movie. This thread contains no spoilers and is not to talk about the movie, just the event and crowd reaction.
Well, there were a bunch of theaters rented out showing the movie at the same time. We sat in there for a little while, then Brian Goldner, and Executive Producer and CEO of Hasbro came in and thanked us for being great fans (nice speech, then he introduced Rachael Taylor and Tyrese!!!!! (someone in our crowd yelled "Bring it!" and he started laughing).
So through the movie, cheers, claps, lots of laughs. But some parts of the movie...well it was like your favorite Baseball team just won the World Series! Screams and people pumping their fists. And at the end...well, even better than your Baseball Team winning the World Series. I did not hear one person say a bad thing. The movie was unbelievable, if not the best action film I have ever seen.

just saw a pre-screening today and i would have to agree, it was incredibly great and i lost count of how many times i thought i was goin gto cry out of joy and sadness too!
The audience at the prescreening i attended was very loud and boistrous in both positive and negative ways. There was applause at different times during the movie, and when i looked down the aisle, i saw people leaning foward so much on the edge of their seats, i thought that if they lost their balance they'd fall into the chairs in front and below them..

I seriously hope this movie becomes the biggest of the summer, if not the year, showing up all these sequels.

i enjoyed it.. you could tell some of the lines made everyone groan, but they were few and far between.
i was pleasently suprised, with just a few minor complaints, which i have for every movie i'm into. but i'm ready for a second helping, and i can't wait to see it again to catch a few things i might have missed.
w/o spoilers - my only true gripes:
=megan fox - worst actress ever. hot, but no goody acty
=the decepticon carnage starts a little late after a slow dull in the middle (only of about 20 minutes where you just want the sh*t to go down)
=the autobots get the most screen time, frenzy however gets the most. could have used a little more intorduction on thundercracker, brawl, and bonecursher before they "just showed up"
=the moutnaindew/360 cons? wtf? i know pepsi and microsoft payed for alot of advertising, but come on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
that's really about it. and the whole mass shifting thing, which i find a bit silly as to why that was one of the reasons soundwave wouldn't be in it, and megs wouldn't make sense as a gun.. anyways............
i really did enjoy it, the action was good, some lines were definetly pushed. but the cinematagraphy works, and the entire is quite good. it's new, it's something else. best thing to come in a while imo.

All things considered, i liked Shia's performance and John Turturro's.
As could be expected with any bay film, there were some really cheesy lines.
I thought the decepticons could have used better introductions too, like blackout's for example.
The action just happens SO FAST that if you blink, you miss things.
I can remember only two or so points in time when the animation was obvious, the rest of the time everything looked so.. real.
I was sad to not hear welker though. Weaving pulled off a convincing job as megatron i thought, it was a good "bad guy" voice.. but. i felt a little empty deep inside.

July 2nd was all sold out by me. Going July 3rd at 8, and bursting from anticipation.
