I'm not forgetting about it. I'm just not counting it. Yet. A few news article tidbits and a couple of prototype pics does not a figure make. Sure, it means that plans have been made and maybe that wheels are in motion. But stuff happens. Plans could get scrapped. Delays could take place. I don't like to count a figure, especially a Masterpiece, until it actually materializes.

And honestly, you aren't really wrong in anything you said at all. The MP and MP-M lines are very different. There has been quite a bit of activity in the MP line in the last calendar year. Perhaps not the activity that I have been wanting but I suppose if there was a repaint that I just had to have (as I said I don't like repaints that don't produce different characters but for the sake of argument), I would be pretty excited if the Has/Tak gave it to me. And yes, the MP line is pretty much on a decent pace bewteen original mold Grimlock and original mode Rodimus. (Speaking of, I forgot to throw in the repaint of MP Grimlock in my previous post as well. The bluer one that costs a billion dollars) However, I just don't see the point in taking this issue so personally that it warranted the kind of reaction that you gave it. I don't really know any of the people who have previously posted but do you? Perhaps they aren't regulars to the forum. Perhaps they are just getting back into collecting or getting into it for the first time and are as educated about the different lines. What difference does it make?

And honestly why should you even care if one guy doesn't know the difference between what toy line is what and what figures come from what lines? Whats more important: I know that Drift came from the Generations line or that Drift sits on my shelf? Lines of toys often get blurred amoung collections anyway. Generations/Universe get displayed with G1 all the time. Human Alliance get displayed with regular Movie lines and so on. Who cares about any of it? The bottom line is this figure is good, this figure is garbage.

I like to live by the saying: you pick the battles worth fighting. I think you just picked the wrong battle here. You gained nothing by correcting the person and may have lost people's respect in correcting him in the manner that you did. Anyway, I've wasted enough internet space on this issue. We should perhaps all move on.

This Bumblebee looks like THE Movie BB to have....until the next movie comes out and the next IT BB comes out.

Well said. Bravo.
It finally happened. The Chicago Cubs won the World Series. Yes, I cried.

Well pass on this. Doesn't interest me when I can get battle ops BB if I want. I won't though. The last time I bought something like that was BM Supreme Cheetor and I regretted it once I had him for a week.

Anyway if Megatron is number 3 in this series and they use his ROTF mold I hope they fix his arms up. That might warrant me buying it.

While I think Movie Bee is a definite upgrade over ANY other Bumblebee in the TF Universe, I haven't, and will not, buy any of his toys. I came close to getting HA Bee, but thought better of it. This will not change my mind.

And yes, Dead Metal is right about this not being part of the main line. Details. His methods of "enlightenment" however, are his choices.

I also agree that the repaints of the molds such as Magnus, Nemesis Prime, and sleep mode Prime are not "new," simply repaints. Same with Thundercracker and Skywarp. "New" would qualify as Grimlock, the upcoming Rodimus ( *drool* ) and Megatron. Now, if Soundwave and Shockwave could be the next ones, I would consider Primus smiling down on us. (Me at least.)

I would love Shockwave or Soundwave MPs, but I guess the next release will be more Seekers, Sunstorm and Coneheads, while I think Sunstorm might be a e-Hobby exclusive since they invented him and made his first toy. While the next new mold might be Galvatron, since he's Rodimus's main enemy and had quite a big role in Japan, is he still popular over there? But that wouldn't be for at least a year - a year full of repaints. :P

I don't see the big deal in how I enlightened people on this subject, sure I snapped and the result aint to nice but pf I don't think too much of it. I'm not going to apologise for it since I'm sure that would offend someone. :P Sometimes people get offended on principal.

Now I must go forth and listen to some Dethklok.

this is ridiculous they could have made a masterpiece g1Soundwave, G1 Galvatron, G1 Jetfire, Movie Blackout(which could have been repainted into Grindor) and g1 Bludgeon but no they repaint another Hasbro toy and call it a masterpiece remember the days when Takara made stuff better than hasbro
I am in need of another missle for my energon Starscram and a wing for my Armada Terrorsaur the one with his name on it if anyone has spares of these items that they don't need please PM me

You have to look at it a bit more open minded. Sure, maybe this time it doesn't work, though for some it will. The bottom line is that we are getting the toys that we deserve. In worked in the case of MP Starscream. Takara made him and gave him goofy (realistic) colors. The people screamed to the heavens for a real MP Starscream with G1 colors. Hasbro was there to give it to us. Now G1 MP Starscream sits on many shelves (not mine unfortunately, but some day soon). Same thing happened with MP Skywarp. Now Takara is flipping the coin and taking a good Hasbro mold and making it better.

Sure nobody cares this time because it happens to be Bumblebee and most people are up to their eyeballs in Bumblebees. However, if Takara took Leader Brawl from the first movie and gave him a better coat of paint and some light and sound improvements, or something along those lines, I think more people would be cheering and less would be jeering. The bottom line is the same: better figures.

Its confusing for collectors sometimes and it could lead to less inclination to pull the trigger on a toy. However, from my own experience and from what I've read here, people generally don't have a problem upgrading a figure or character that they already have. Not too many owners of 2007 Leader Prime had a problem buying ROTF Leader Prime.

I won't lie, Hasbro/Takara really gets on my nerves with some of the stuff that they do. And I don't necessarily want to see another BB on the shelves but, at the same time, I can't hate on them for making a toy better. Its up to the individual to buy or not buy it. I will however be passing on this Bumblebee. I will admit that it is an awesome figure. However, scale is a big thing to me in the movie line. I just don't want a Bumblebee that is bigger than Prime or Megatron.

Now what amuses me is people in North America crying foul like it's being stuffed down their throats. If you want it, it's already available on store shelves, and for a better price than importing. If you don't want it, don't buy it. This is Takara's way of releasing Movie Leaders now, a profitable Masterpiece subline. It doesn't hurt anyone, especially American collectors.

Not bothered about these at all. I wish they'd hurry up and realise everyone wants masterpiece soundwave and shockwave, esecially shockwave as the arent any real good g1 figureas available that look accurate to the cartoon. Thats where the money is anyway, i'd happily pay almost any amount for masterpiece versions of shockwave and soundwave.
Surely its the logical choice!

I love Bumblebee but this is probably the least surprising new release info I've ever heard.

Hello Hasbro - Stop making so many Bumblebees!!!!!

You guys are right, this one will be the IT Bumblebee. Until the next movie and a dozen more get done. Plus repaints.

Fine, fine. And first I'd say, "70's Camaro BB, you don't even get to talk because you are an utter turd of a toy so go to the corner and shuddap before I turn you into kitbash fodder." Then I'd turn to Cannon BB and say, "Man, so close for you Cannon BB. So close. If only you came packaged with a real weapon instead of some goofy gimmick that wasn't even featured in a movie. Your eyes are so big that they kind of scare me. And while you did get two arms, your hands are utterly useless since you didn't come packaged with a weapon and even if you did, the hands you have couldn't hold it anyway. Sorry but get over into the corner with 70's Camaro BB." Finally I'd turn to Concept Camaro BB. "Looks like its just you and me, buddy. One good mold of BB out of the bunch with two good arms. Good ahead and get cozy on my shelf. Let me know if you need anything. Thanks to what Hasbro is doing with the Bumblebee character, it looks like you are going to be there a long time."

What happens when Battle Blade Bumblebee comes along and woos you with his obvious superiority?

Lame overpriced Bumblebee is lame. And overpriced.

This is a joke right ?

I Mean MP M01 (Starscream) Wasn't bad. But this....They didn't even make a new mold ..... or.......something else...They just put B0 BB and slapped a masterpiece sign on it.

So much for a Masterpiece Blackout....

Definite Pass. I think instead of just taking preexisting toys and slapping a masterpiece label on it, Takara should make some new molds that are worthy of a Masterpiece title.

Considering MP Rodimus, releasing Bumblebee doesn't mean the main MP line is taking a break. It's not taking time or effort away from any other part of the line. Just how they're marketing BOBB when Autobot Alliance doesn't allow for a Supreme class.
