That d@ng Matrix had variable sizes in the Movie, I wonder if it will be to scale or there'd be a compartment in his chest.

Again on a somewhat related note, there were plans to implement the inclusion of a hollow compartment in MP Megatron...for the "Star of Cybertron". It was later dropped so having a Matrix compartment for Rodimus might be a verrrry long shot.

Well that made my day! Looks like it'll be a smaller sized matrix that can (if they follow through with it) fit inside Rodimus! I sincerely hope they keep it as an accessory.

Omg, I have seen that picture so many times and have never noticed the packing tray. It looks like it will ship in vehicle mode too but I might be wrong.

There are some people who get by in life by settling for less and some people who strive for pefection. So if you loose you're hair would you wair a wig, or would you leave it bald. I personaly would leave it bald. And it's the same here. I have no desire to own a accurate upgrade of Rodimus's campavan, unless it actually transforms. The reason it's so seamless is becuase there is no transformation to the campavan. If you call fliping the rear of the car up and swinging the windshield and hood over, to more or less cover everything up. They have used hot rods wheel arches so they can technicaly say that it does convert to a campavan.

You go on and on about those wheel arches. Is that all you can focus on? Seriously, there's more to the figure than it's wheel design or it's trailer design or it's transformation. The wheel arches? Really? Geez. >_<

And no one's settling by buying this. No one. If we were to buy a gutted version that basically did nothing, that would be settling. Taking a figure that's lacking all of it's accessories, paint, and things of that nature? That would be settling. God Neptune is a good example of this. That is settling, this is not.

I'd rather something that technicaly transforms, and sacrafice some of the alt modes looks than a plastic shell that just covers things. After all it's meant to be a transformer. If hot rod docked with the trailer, all that would be different is the hood wouldnt be so short, so what if it doesnt look exactly like the original G1 toy, at least it would be functional, it would have been alot easier too.

This section is just whining to whine. It does transform, just not the way you expected or want. (I'm not sure that what you want is possible at this point.) Whining to whine, I say.

And if I had the tools I could create a Master Piece TF. Alot of people can, and alot of people do, you're empty threats are pointless. I'm a designer so I'd say I'm pretty good when it comes to the needed thought processes.. Everything so far I have thought about this figure has turned out to be true. I still thinks it's a great figure, but I still feel cheated. I never transform my figures on display, but I know they can, and thats what counts.

So I guess Unicron, Big Convoy, G1 Roddie, RID Sideburn, and all the other TFs that require either shells or signifigant add-ons are all only technically transformers as to "real" transformers who, I assume, don't use any of those things.

You are such a morron. All I did was give my opinion. You questioned it so I responded, then you have a go saying I'm whinning and going on about something. Yeah sorry bout that.
Back to the subject. I don't see no reason why they would leve the matrix out, but then again they have done some weird things in the past. Why go to all that extent of adding the trailer and leaving roller out. Roller is quite inexpensive to make, the packaging probaly cost more. I'm pretty sure everyone here want's 2 of these so they can stand one infront of the other, with hot rod opening the matrix, and Rodmius standing behind to recreate, his Prime-ification, if you know what I mean.

I'm a bit vexxed about the scale. I thought now I had my mini mp, the scaling would be kool. now Hot rod will be just as tall if not taller. And does this mean we will get MP versions of Jazz etc. I was quite happy with my BTs filling that roll. And BT Hot Rod was doing a good job. I have limited shelf space as it is, well it's not limited, just getting crowded. How many representations of the same characters am I gonna end up with before I say enough is enough.

AT least one thing is for sure, a MP Galvatron has to be on the way. That is one figure that realy does need an MP upgrade.

And on topic, I really hope for the matrix too, but it's not completely necessary for me. Worst case scenario he can just steal one of the other few my other figures have. Really excited that we seem to have visual confirmation though.

Also, I can't believe how long it took me to notice that the legs do extend at the knees AND hips for Rodimus Prime mode. Excellent. Man, I cannot wait for this figure.

I tend to think the Matrix is a nessasary part of an MP Roddy / Hot Rod. Lack of any mention of a Matrix, though, makes me think it doesn't come with one. However, it's still possible.

It doesn't look like Roddy's hood opens up in a pleasing way to support a Matrix compartment. Like Megatron's heart of Cybertron, it might be that the transformation just makes it impossible to include.

What exactly happens to the matrix once it's opened. Does it close again or is it useless after the enegy has been released. I thought it was a one off, it was to ligh the autobots darkest hour. And if it can be closed again, why couldnt it have been used early to save magnus, then opened again to destroy Unicron. I'm probaly picking it apart too much, but back to the original question, once the matrix is opened, what then?

The matrix is just a container for the wisdom of the ages. It appears that in the movie the wisdom isn't used at all to combat Unicron, as in the second use against the hate plague the wisdom dissipates and the matrix left empty.


So the matrix is a permenant tangible object, the wisdom within can be replenished by the Primes it occupies. As for who can open it, I think only those selected by the matrix can open it. That'd explain why the matrix transforms Scourge (sorta) in season three, but does nothing to Ultra Magnus, Galvatron or the Stunticon who stole it, and why they can't open it.

I'm game for an MP Jazz, but caching the funds for an MP Devy, would be insane. plus if each fig is even half as tall as a G1 gestalt, what book/display case could handle it?

Afaik the stand won't come with Rodimus, as it's the 2010 exclusive for buying everything in the 2010 lineup, kind've a mail-away special akin to Reflector or the Omnibots back in the day.

My experience with them is that they both get and ship the items quickly.

Tracking parcels from Hong Kong though isn't the easiest. You're going to end up paying a lot in shipping if you're in the states.

I've tracked many parcels from HK before, and I agree, kinda a pain. Comes to about $235.00 cnd, with EMS. Not much more than buying it domestically (ie, BBTS) and I'll get it a lot sooner.

Oh, all of my HK shipped parcels have arrived just fine as well, but I find the tracking number seems like it always gets messed up as soon as it leaves china. Just last week I had an order from Angolz.com have a huge gap in the tracking from when it entered Canadian customs and when it was delivered to me. Not a huge deal, but enough to get me a little worried when it looks like the package has disappeared for a week or so.

If Hasbro releases this I may end up getting two. Hopefully they don't include the Rodimus parts to keep the cost down haha.
