If I were to come across a loose, complete one, I would get him. If I found what you got, I wouldn't have the self-control to keep him in the box. Good work!

I'm sure there are currently a few loose on eBay right now, even an opened one which has been placed back in its box.

If you came across this guy, still factory sealed you would probably do what I am doing and getting him cased for protection.

The cost is too much to bare opening, and I am not just talking monetary cost. I would love nothing more than to open this figure, but what a waste that would be, for a split second of excitement this new transformer becomes a used transformer and joins the ranks of the countless others.

This figure is not like the ones currently in the stores, or the number of reissue figures kicking about, I could understand someone ripping him open knowing there are a lot more where that came from, but this is not the case.

This guy (as far as my research has taken me) is the only one in this condition. There is one other factory sealed that I know of, and that has yellowing on the plastic, and one MIB/MOSC. I could never bring myself to remove one of the last (if not the only) good condition factory sealed Snapdragon from this world. and leave just another transformer to add to the long list of mint but loose figures out there.

If the urge gets me, I would go out a buy one of the many loose ones.

Ok, so I got him back from being cased and graded, and was surprised to find that they had cased him in their new tougher 5mm cases.

I have tracked this guy down, and he is currently being held for me until I get the funds together for him, so I will have an Apeface soon.

Nice score. it does some what sadden me to see Transformers locked away behind plastic walls and never played with.

I do understand the reasons why the topic starter did so. Myself I am a Loose/MIB collector as i prefer to display my figures out of the packaging. That Said there is room enough in this hobby for everyone. :CON:

That was a bargain, you just don't get factory sealed snapdragons.
There are only 4 recorded on the AFA database, so he is as rare as rocking-horse **** to get hold of.
This figure is worth well more than what I paid for him because he is 1 of only 5 known.

Yeah, it was a lot of money, I had to sell a fair few MISB reissues to get this guy.

But as he was one of my favourite transformers as a kid, he was worth it to me. You don't get the nostalgia feeling until you have it in your hands, pictures can only take you half of the way, and that is what MISB G1 original collectors are buying into.

Cost to different people is seen differently. You may see it as the next two months rent, I see it as an investment in a window to my childhood.

Don't get me wrong, I collect MIB G1 figues. But I want to play with 'em as well, American style boxes don't open all tht well (bubble), the Japanese use styrofoam and you can neatly close those back up again.

Well as a collector of boxed toys you should be able to appreciate where I am coming from, even though mine will never be opened. I can get loose ones for the play factor.

Great score. I have Apeface and Snap Dragon. Both wonderful figures. Snap Dragon would be cool if Hasbro gave it the Generations treatment.

I think all Headmaster need the Generations treatment. I would love to see some modern incarnations of Headmasters, maybe have it so the head is turnable when connected, and the figures a lot more posable, but still have the little dude be able to sit in the vehicle cockpit. That would be awesome.
