Hi all, just a quick question about Fansproject and whether they re-release all of their moulds over time. I know that the following have seen re-releases:

Warbot Defender
City Commander
Shadow Commander

And I know that the following will not:

Cliffjumper Upgrade (Mould lost)

My question is, are we likely to see Munitioner/Explorer, Superion, insecticons etc released again?

I hope so as well. With so many copies/recolors/variations/releases of the Bruticus Maximus molds floating around out there, both Hasbro and Takara versions, it's one of the most widely available upgradable pieces that FP have created anything for (it and Superion).

I would love to see it get a re-release (along with the Superion upgrade set) and I wouldn't put it past them. It was and still is one of the hottest items they've ever created and is one of the few not to see a re-release so far.

Fingers crossed then. I have a piece of crap ROTF Bruticus needing some fixing up. Perhaps FP will retool it slightly as well, I know that the vortex connector piece had a tendency to crack on the original release.

For your sake, I think it would be best if you contacted FP in some manner and let them know you are interested in another production run. It's been awhile since Explorer/Munition have been sold out, and looking at the inflated prices on e-Bay (almost 3x the original price) there could be market enough for a small run in the near future. The same might be said for the Superion upgrade.

Not sure why you are asking about Insecticons, those are still available. I wouldn't count on another run of these anytime soon as it might conflict with sales of the "Deluxe" Insecticons that were shown off at TFCon.

Also, FP has done 2nd runs of both the Explorer/Munition set and the Insecticons within a year of first release - I don't remember if their other products were the same or not.

I didn't realize they'd already done second runs for Munitioner and Explorer.

I just know that they seem to be once again re-releasing DIA Commander and recently re-released City Commander (one time out of many re-releases for that one) along with Warbot Defender and I think they even re-released Protector a while back.

The Munitioner and Explorer along with Superion were the only ones that I thought they hadn't reissued yet.

The secondary market sucks for them right now (way inflated prices and very few available) but there's still an ample supply of those Energon figures and their many repaints that work with the sets (it doesn't required the RotF set for Bruticus after all, nor the RotF set for Superion).

edit: this is what I'm talking about. Another run of the Asia exclusive DIA Commander, Protector, City Commander and Shadow Commander and each and every one of those is way more readily available on the secondary market than Munitioner and Explorer.

If you want to get FP Munitioner and Explorer, you should try Taobao. You will need a middleman though.

Nope, I just want them re-released by FP via the major online retailers again, the same as they've done with most of their other creations because the market clearly shows a demand for it right now, especially with them developing a combiner of their own (everyone who gets the Stunticons is going to want an FP Bruticus to stand up next to Menasor in their display).

I wouldn't be opposed to them doing an entire Bruticus from scratch, the same as they are with the Stunticons. I have the Bruticus add-on set, but thanks to some customizing, it's a far cry from G1 Bruticus. I always found the Energon size class for combiners too small anyway (which is why I buy TFC when I can ). All the others are just custom fodder for me.
