The reason why I was withdrawn from my high school was because I suffering from acid reflux, an ulcer, and a hernia and by the time I had surgery to correct and recovered from that I missed so much school that I couldn't get caught up. So the school withdrew me and for the record: I DID NOT DROP OUT! This decision was made by the school NOT me.
After that I spent a year getting on disability and once that was taken care I spent time trying to find a way to get my High School Diploma or GED. I finally found one and got the money to pay them up front (which was a good thing I did) and I started.
I choose a slower pace because I wanted to spend time and do it right. I also found that if I did more than 3 exams a day I would tend to get more answers wrong.
Then my personal life fell apart, my grandmother got sick and required 24/7 care and when it got to the point that both father and I were unable to give her the care she required she had to be put in a nursing home. Then my first cat Butterscotch died, then I was forced to file chapter 7 bankruptcy and I lost my house in a foreclosure. Then I was forced to move to an apartment. And try as I might I couldn't get find the energy and/or the time to get back to my studies.
My Dad and I moved again 2 years ago and I decided to update my records with the online school and I decided that since it looked like I was on the last course to complete it. And I did.
And now I'm a high school grad!
