Fixes pretty much everything I found lacking with the figure and so now I shall have to buy it all. And matching the paint job ain't so hard. Matching colours perhaps, but the actual painting is drybrushy easiness.

Whilst I can't say it's especially a deal breaker, if the reactions to Fanstoys advertising their Arcee with her having some snuggle time with Springer are anything to go by, the outrage that Grimlock having a set of reptilian genitalia would garner would be...glorious. Also, the thought of him slapping people in robot mode with his ancient cybertanium spiked testes as a flail is absolutely hilarious.

(Fun fact that you absolutely didn't need or want to know: Certain sites I shall not name sell teeny tiny roughly transformers-scaled silicone...monster wangs. So if you ever wanted to give Grimlock a Grimcock you can do that. Just be aware that doing so will make Jesus weep tears of blood.)

Oddly I was more bothered about how he had two than the fact he had any. I couldn't figure out where the second one came from cos I only recall one vehicle that had a wrecking ball in his configuration. Oh well, at least Devs having 'testicles' somehow makes more sense than some other oddly human-like strangeness in Transformers stuff over the years though (like anytime one TF tries to choke another like Galvatron attempts on Hot Rod in the animated movie).

Anyways, moving on. Have ordered my Grimlock which should be here on Monday I think and I shall (im)patiently await more details and photos of this kit.

This upgrade looks amazing and has made me seriously consider buying SS Grimlock. Even if the flail storage in Tyrannosaurus mode gives him spiky plums...

That said, I have seen GCreations (I think?) planning their own AoE Grimlock, and that looks awesome. I may hold off on this. Hmm.
