Overcracker mentioned something about Target Exclusive Robo-Vision Prime being a metallic repaint. This is not true. The toy is exactly the same as Voyager Prime.

I'm pretty sure it was metalic.

Oh, no. That whole thing that was written on the package about the figure having ' super-metal finish!!!' was only a suggestion. You know, that 'metallic' finish that Robo-vision Prime had that was like 95% of its appeal?

Or maybe you have the ORIGINAL RELEASE VERSION? You know, the first of the many repaints & retools of this figure to be released? The one with absolutely no metallic finish?

Well, it's possible. I seem to remember when I bought mine there was something on the package about it having a super metallic finish, and I do remember the center part of the figure being lighter in color, like more silver-ish. I'll have to check mine as well, I guess.

The Deep Space SS isn't out yet is it? Or are you talking about the normal movie line, wide-release SS?

As far as I know, this was a little tidbit out of the metallic SS thread that was referencing Robo-Vision Prime.....I think we've got a wire crossed here somewhere.

The one I have, was a Target exclusive labeled Robovision Optimus Prime. It came packaged in bot mode in a cylindrical plastic container. I purchased it before the movie was released. I think it was sometime near the end of June or something.

Right? Best TF character of all time, reduced to 6 seconds of screen time. Just like Jazz, tremendously popular within the fandom, 6 seconds on screen. Now watch, someone will time the appearences of both characters and post it just to shoot me down and retell again their belief that Transformers is the new Citizen Kane, and that disagreeing with that in any way is akin to blasphemy.

I was very disappointed as well on the screen time of Starscream, I mean one gripe out from Megs and thats it for Starscream one of the best Decepticon villians!

a VERY nice looking one, at that! is the "FF" on the shoulder on the normal one, too?

"FF" is the tail ID for Langley AFB. I guess Hasbro is trying to release TFs for the military now, complete with actual Air Force base ID.

They are simply trying to make it more movie accurate. If you look Starscream has these ID letters all over him in the movie, but the toy has jack..until now.

True, but in the film, the tail ID is "ED" for Edwards AFB.
