Is anyone going to buy animated Transformers?

I’ll pick and chose which ones I want, some I’m not at all impressed with, but I’m ok with others. Might get deluxe prime and prowl, I’ll have to think on the rest, especially sound wave and bumblebee. I’m not to big on the “animated” look, I’d rather put the money into universe, allspark power or my Gundam collection
.

me too
Me three, as long as Hasbro doesn't make any half-arsed Classics Cliffjumper recolours.
Yeah, I'm not sure I'll buy any repaints...

I intend on getting some, but unlike previous lines, I will not be getting all of them.
The lack of sculpt detail and flimsy look or these figures is a real turn off to me, and I see this line very much as a step backwards from the quality increases we've seen in recent years.
Armada Hot Shot thru Cybertron Hot Shot ia a prime example of this...

I don't get what you're saying here. Bumblebee looks so much better than those Hotshots. It's sleeker, more dynamic, better proportioned and has a sharper colour scheme.
So long as the plastic and paint-job quality are up to scratch, these should be awesome.

So far, I like everything from Animated. I might pick up one of each sculpt, which is more than I've done for any line other than Alternators. Every toy we've seen, I'll get; we'll see what else they come up with.

Dude.
Is it the head that is as big as his chest piece, or the giant baby-bottle-water-bombs attached to his alt mode that put him in better proportion.
Both Armada and Energon Hot Shot are somewhat out of proportion, but saying that Animated Bumblebee is a design improvement over Cybertron Hot Shot?

except for the non-moveable shoulders and head,i still choose Armada Hot Shot's design over Animated Bumblebee. even Hot Shot's face design and grin are way better than Animated BB's smirk.
(aw heck, what am i saying - this dude's going to be an impulse buy once it hits the shelves here.)

all the comments above are the HUMBLE OPINIONS of the said user only. 'nuff sed.

They look super fun to play with. I'll probably try to get some just for the novelty of having toys again. I don't have a TF collection anymore, and I'm not really interested in paying exhorbitant fees to get the toys I liked as a kid.

Totally.

Cybertron Hot Shot is the only of the three that even comes close to measuring up. Everything about the proportions on the animated series is much better. The reason Bumblebee will have a larger head in proportion compared to the other characters in the series is a reflection of his character.
Notice that they've deliberately used a lot more contrast between character proportions on this series. It makes each character more unique and recognisable. The proportions on Bulkhead are very different to those of Bumblebee, and Prime is significantly different again to both of them. On previous series there were proportional differences between characters, but it was much less marked and deliberate.
Besides, look at Hot Shot. Look at the state of his arms and legs. Look at his clunky shoulders and backpack. The proportions on the animated series flow into each other much better, whereas on the Cybertron figure, every part looks stuck on in a much more haphazard fashion.

I'll probably pick up an Arcee or if they get rid of Prime's mouth.

I'm not touching this line. Besides it looking like the robotic offspring of The Tick, Powerpuff Girls & Samurai Jack, I'm just not into the neon colors or nonsensical vehicle modes. I much prefer my TF's to turn into actual DISGUISES - not simply alternate modes of transporation. This is exactly why I fell out of TF's when the original G1 movie & season 3 era came around and why I never got into other lines like Armada, Cybertron or Energon. It all became too cartoony & fake looking imo, and this new Animated line is the eptiome of what I don't like about TF - looking like Playskool toys built for 5 year olds.
I'll be more than happy finishing off my current collection and sitting tight for Classics 2.0 and a few more Masterpieces to roll around.

I will for sure buy them now... at first I was hesitant, but they look too damn good.... unless there are bad reviews about it, I might just save my money for something else.
