Weapon: Diffraction Sword
I dont own a Barricade figure yet, but I'm looking to purchase one now to finish out my Movie Decepticons. The real question is, should I get the original or the Recon recolor? The Recon is the only one I've seen the past couple weeks. Which version do ya'll prefer?

To the thread's original poster:
The toy is fine. Seriously, if you don't like it, get used to it.
If we started threads every time we didn't like a toy, we'd run out of bandwith.

Deluxe Barricade looks really awesome, The Saleen police car mode is great and the robot mode looks evil!

Yes, he is hard to pose and sometimes lands on his face, and tough to transform back to car mode, having to align all the parts, but I think he's a very good toy to own.

Everybody seems to complain a lot about him, but all the deluxe line has movie accuracy problems. Or should I mention the 1976 Camaro Bummblebee with that ugly feet? enough said

I like the Deluxe Barricade, but then again its the only version of that character thus far we have gotten, so there really isn't anything to compare it to.. If a Voyager version came out and it was leaps and bounds over the deluxe design, then i'd be able to say yep, the deluxe sucks and I hate it too..actually No I wouldn't say i hated it... because really it's a toy, and plus how can I ever really and truly hate any Transformer and call myself a fan??

Nope, I guess I disagree with you.. I could never Hate a Transformer, even some of the worst ever are still a Transformer.. :D

Gobots are also under my protection, even the Top Hat one called Tux..he can't be worse then Shortround the toilet bot and Pooh Guru..

Can't go any other way than the movie version. Recon is very kiddie-like in it's color scheme. For this reason, my son preferred Recon to my movie version. But he just likes Frenzy honestly. He got a FAB movie version and hasn't touched his Recon version since.

Don't forget Barricade comes with a neat little pop-out Frenzy figure. Like I said, I'd love a new version, but the old one is pretty darn good.

Barricade's car mode is tight, though. I dig his head sculpt too. His legs are a bit odd, but not entirely ridiculously frustrated to stand. I still have trouble doing a complete handstand on the ground for more dan 5 secs since highschool(i'm 30 now), but have developed consistency and control since then... maybe when u get older it'd be less of an issue.

Seibertron still rocks.

I liked that a lot about the toy. Even though the official transformation leaves them upright, I think they look a hell of a lot better folded down, so that's how I always have them.
