Re: Your Favorite and Least Favorite Beast Wars/Machines Fig
beast machines is so horribly out of scale:
http://seibertron.com/images/toys/files ... tor100.jpg
look at that. Rattrap, the shortest one on the team, is bigger than silverbolt, he's nearly as tall as optimus, and to top if off, nightscream dwarfs them all.

Re: Your Favorite and Least Favorite Beast Wars/Machines Fig
i had optimal optimus for about two weeks after I bought it over summer from the handsome salary my little joby paid, as my parents refused to get it for me, deeming it "too violent". Nevertheless, even after I bought it myself along with several other beast wars figures that my job finally enabled me to get, my parents viewed this as a betrayal of their rules and took them all away from me! Finally found optimal again, but he's in bad shape, VERY bad shape. nevertheless, I just bought a brand spankin new one for around 26 bucks including shippin! Can't wait.

I haven't seen many and only own three, two unopened and the other (Razorclaw) salvaged from a bin at Hasbro by a former employee. Razorclaw kicks arse once you figure out what to do with the robot legs when in crab mode. Spittor looks like it was designed to suck, like a vacuum-cleaner.

Re: Your Favorite and Least Favorite Beast Wars/Machines Fig
Beast Wars:
Fav: TM2 Megs. Can't be beaten. 'Specially if you correct the factory error so you can keep his neck taut.
Least: Rhinox. Can't do much with him in beast mode, and he doesn't have a cool squirt gun to redeem him like Cheetor.
(I'm only counting among the toon accurate toys, since there are tons of idiotic bugs and whatnot. Also, BW and BM clearly need to be considered separately. Not much from BM could possibly beat BW, even though I do like some of BM.)
Beast Machines:
Fav: Blackarachnia. She makes a better partner for BW Silverbolt than either BW fig, and she has a lot of character.
Close 2nd Fav: Tankor. Gotta love that Cylon eye!
Least: Space-waster Cheetor. Not so great looking, and huge to boot. This coming from someone who likes Ultimate Bumblebee.

I only own one Beast-anything, BM Jetstorm, the big one (Ultra?). He's awesome, love that guy.
BM Tankor looks cool in alt mode, but he's not in the gallery so I can't see his bot mode. How about some pics of the favorites? Thx.

Tankor isn't bad, hough I prefer his Universe repaint.
I've been meaning to get one, since I was stupid enough to not pick him up in the Universe 2-pack with Obsidian when I saw him.
TFU.info has a nice pic of Tankor here:
http://www.tfu.info/2000/Vehicon/Tankor/tankor.htm
in both modes.

Re: Your Favorite and Least Favorite Beast Wars/Machines Fig
oh man, where do i start?
for a huge bot that screams show-accuracy, style, and loads of fun, i'd definitely pick Optimal Optimus. too bad i sold mine last year, just couldn't stand having it without its blast shields (garn!)
then there's RM-22 (23) Lio Convoy, absolutely the best Simba-former ever made, even better than its larger counterpart.
Optimus Primal (10th Anniversary Remold) and the TM-01 version are the most show-accurate Primals ever made, and they're full of gimmicks too.
Almost all the Transmetals and Fuzors are absolutely fabulous. if Depthcharge didn't have to rely on his tail for support while in bot mode, he'd be perfect.
i like the first-run 1996 Beast Wars basics, the (first) ever toys to have something akin to the TFTM Automorph (plus they work flawlessly too, even after all these years).
surprisingly, a lot of Japanese Beast Wars toys are good. too many to mention here, but i give special emphasis to Break, Moon, Mach Kick (a horse former after all these years - how long did it take to make this?) and the best, Longrack!

To be honest, Im not a big fan of either line.
The vast majority are ugly, difficult to pose and suffer from 'look ma, no hands!' syndrome...
That said, there are two (from my very limited collection of those two lines) that I do like:
Fuzor Silverbolt, he has a nice old skool 'chunkieness' about him.
RM Primal, cuase he looks good (I'd imagine this by extension means I'll like the first BW Optimus Primal).
How anybody can like that ugly expensive gimmick ridden piece of pap Optimal Optimus is frankly byond me.

Re: Your Favorite and Least Favorite Beast Wars/Machines Fig
There where tons of awesome figures from the beast era, so I'm gonna take some liberties in my listings.
Beast Wars
Maximals:
Favorites-TigerHawk, Optimal Optimus
Least Favorites-DinoBot, Rhinox they just didn't look right
Predicons:
Favorites-TM Scavenger(go play with him, you'll see), TM Tarantulus, TM2 Scourge
Least Favorites-TriPredicus
Beast Wars Japan
Maximals:
Favorites-LongRack, Big Convoy
Least Favorites-MagnaBoss
Predicons:
Favorites-MagnaTron, Galvatron, DeadEnd
Least Fravorites-Injector, PowerHug
Beast Machines
Maximals:
Favorites-BuzzSaw, Black Arachnia
Least Favorites - Cheetor, GekoBot
Terrorcons:
Favorites-Mirage, Not JetStorm, but the other guy with the claw hand and double rockers, you know the one.
Least Favorites-Megatron, Scavenger.
Now I know TriPredicus and MagnaBoss both fell into my least favorites catagory, but let me explain. I think the combination ideas on both are revolutionary. I'd like to see more of future combiners actualy transform into one another as apose to having smaller bots just hang off a central figure. However the balancing issues and weak limbs just killed these figures.
I like how RID was also experimental in this area, and am sad how Energon just screwed up that progress.

My favourite would have to be Optimal Optimus. I love Silverbolt and Lio Convoy too. Since I just started getting Beast Wars over the last year or two, I've only picked up ones that I like. If I had to choose a least favourite out of what I have, it would have to be Big Mos.. I only got him cos a dealer at botcon offered me a free figure because I bought so much other BW stuff off of him. It was Big Mos or Retrax... I think I got the better figure

Oh man- I just grabbed a BM Tankor on eBay, loose/complete, $12 shipped. You guys suck, if my wife kicks my ass out I'm bunkin' with one of you!

Now I have 2 Beast Machines- Jetstorm (Ultra) and soon Tankor. If I understand dcorrectly, they're both Vehicons, or bad guys, and generals of their respective brigades, for lack of a better term. Kick ass.

actually, Tankor's a former Maximal biggie named Rhinox (who is one of my favorites, too bad the toy didn't do him justice at all). that is, until Beast Machine's convoluted storyline reformatted him into a dumb oaf (at the first few eppys) and later on into a scheming robot bent on taking over Megatron's plans for Cybertron.

The Optimal Optimus I got on eBay came today, man this guy's big! Most of his plating is still good, too. Kibbly in his many diff modes but imposing and fun. I think he's my new fave Beast-former.
