Back in Energon when Classics were only a wet dream, Bulkhead was Superlink Sprang. Much like the rest of E/SL most of the characters were updated G1 characters. Shockblast, Bulkhead, Constructicons, Combaticons, Rodimus, Cliffjumper (SL Sandstorm) and of course Downshift (SL Wheeljack). As much as I would love a new Universe Springer, we got him last year as a club exclusive. I would much rather Broadside as he's my favorite Autobot TC...

Cons have 2 Triple changers in all I believe, if you count Octane, so maybe they'll release 2 for the Autobot's side. Springer and Broadside or Sandstorm and who knows, they could give 3 Autobot triple changers and give another to the cons, maybe Blitzwing. Anyways I want a Classics Springer so I can use him and Hot Rod as Wreckers, Broadside too if they release him.

I thought we were getting a Broadside. I must be thinking of Octane.
But Broadside should be a Voyager or larger anyway, so he wouldn't be in competition with a Deluxe Springer!
Know who I'd like to see? A Deluxe G1-inspired Cyclonus.

I would think that if there were a Classics Springer figure, it would be repainted into Sandstorm. While that no doubts enrages the bile of some here, I'd be fine with that, because I don't care much for either character, but do love triple changers, so all I really want are more triple changers. Ones that actually have three modes, and not one mode that is a slight mistransformation of the vehicle mode.....*cough*Energon Skorpanok*cough*.

Won't happen because springer was done for last year botcon. So they won't do another one so close to that release. I don't know why but I'm sure someone on here can clear that up.

Cause Shortround works for hasbro. Sorry guys its a confirmed no go....

G1 Springer is a fav of mine I would definatly live to see this in classics with duel swords. Would also love some revamps on headmaster in classics

Isn't the Botcon Springer only loosely connected to the G1 Springer anyway? I have him but don't know the full Games of Deception story, so all I can go on is his bio card which I don't think really mentions him being a triple changer. The Botcon Wierdwolf apparently underwent some reverse Headmaster process and so is no longer the Headmaster that G1 Wierdwolf was, and so I'd assume that Botcon Springer is not G1 Springer, thereby allowing him to show up in Universe.

They already did. Last years Botcon exclusive was Classics Springer. The story is that he gave up his triple changer abilities for heavier armor and a stronger alt mode.

Don't want to burst anyones bubble, but you had better start asking for Universe Classics Sandstorm or Broadside, because I'm thinking we won't see a new springer in the Universe line.

But hey, anythings possible right? I mean there's already a Universe Tankor.

Would anyone else have been in favor of getting one new figure instead of 2 repaints?
I understand that there's no guarantee that people will like a new figure any more than a repaint,
and may not like it at all.
And I understand that making 2 repaints is cheaper than making a new figure.
But I personally would be more than okay with getting only 4 figures in each wave
(An Ultra or Voyager, and a few Deluxes)
IF they were all new and made well.

As far as repainted figures like Blaster showing up in Universe, let's not forget that the Universe line originally was all repaints, and that apparently for Universe 2.0 we are getting new 'Classics' figures, but that there will still be repaints showing up.

Actually, BotCon Springer is really nice and has a robot mode that is surprisingly accurate to his original G1 incarnation.

The toy has a tremendous amount of paint aps, good articulation (not great), and really cool weapon features.

Different? the chest detailing...Instead of plain yellow, there are actual details.

As to the lack of triple-changing...It's a character evolution. That's just something you have to take or leave. But otherwise, I don't see why this Springer incarnation is very far off at all?

They made an Astrotrain that was an exclusive and they still made one for Classics, so why would they dodge Springer just because he had a botcon exclusive? I'm sure if they make any autobot triple changers he'll be among them.

I thought his shoulders were also green with a small amount of yellow or yellow-green trim...
Also, to me, the shoulders are too big.
I actually don't like that detailing on the chest.
The wheels are too large and dominant.
I know that this version is suppose to be bulky, but if we're talking about G1 Springer, he seems a little too bulky.

If you dig it, that's cool.
I'm just not impressed.

I really don't see why the botcon Springer should affect a new Universe Springer at all. Different molds, what's the problem? If they don't want to make a new triple-changer, then give us a Springer that transforms into a helicopter.

I wonder if Hasbro had a motive for moving Classics to the Universe line, did they ever say they couldn't release slight retools of the other seekers in the Universe line? I'm hoping they'll be able to release them in the Universe line sometime in the future.

The reason they could do a second astrotrain is because it wasn't a botcon exclusive it was a club exclusive which is different I don't understand how they differ but they do. So ten to one you won't see a triple changer version of springer for a long time. But you will most likely see sandstorm and broadside come out in the universe line long before we ever see springer if they choose to do that, also as far as blitzwing goes we won't see him in universe because he is part of the animated show.

Although the part about blitzwing is logical, i pray that it isn't true. Since we're getting a Universe Prowl alongside Animated Prowl, I'm really crossing my fingers for a classics/universe blitzwing. Imo, he's the best triple-changing decepticon of the three, so I really wanna see what they could do with him in classics.

Blitzwing would be great to get as a Classics. Still have my fingers crossed for a triple changer Springer though, we deserve him.
