Everybody is certainly entitled to their opinions, I just don't really understand why the interior of a transforming robots vehicle mode is such an important factor. Everyone wants something different, sure, but come on, interiors? Have we fallen so far as a fandom to be overly concerned with vehicle interiors? A Transformer toy cannot carry a person, and they are not G I Joe type toys where they are designed to carry a pilot or other figure, so so what? I just don't get it.

It's a HUGE factor in keeping the toys accurate with the cartoon. The toys themselfs don't come with pilots (unless it's the star wars line) but they do carrey passengers in the cartoon. The only problem is, they CAN'T CARREY PASSENGERS IN THE CARTOON BECAUSE THEY DON'T REALLY HAVE AN INTERIOR.

RID X-Brawn was actully accurate some what to his toy because rather than cheating him to give him an interior like they did all the other transformers they made his robot head visable where the passenger seat should have been which is where his head ends up in vehilce mode on the toy.

For X-Brawn an interior isn't such an important thing because he never even had one in the cartoon but for nearly every other Transformer the cartoon counterpart allways has a vehilce mode interior and it can't be passed off as a hologram because they are allso seen holding passengers in the cartoon. The toys end up storeing their robot mode parts where the interior should be making it physically impossible to actully carrey any passengers.

For me, i can forgo the interior for now. If they can fit it in, i would want that. But that's secondary.

My primary gripes are the weird exterior proportions. I don't think fixing the exterior will be way out or too much to ask for.

The exterior body shape can be fairly easily customized without effecting how the vehicle runs and there's no point in haveing a realistic exterior if there's a totally fake or non-exsistant interior.

It might as well be an alien vehicle if it doesn't have an interior. They don't carrey passengers on Cybertron so an interior for a cybertronian mode doesn't make any sence. (Except in the form of cargo holds if they're holding materials or injured Transformers)

An interior on an Earth vehicle is the most important aspect of makeing it realistic. No interior and they could have an absolutly flawless exsterior vehicle mode and it'll still look fake as all hell.

Another good aspect of a good transformer, realistic windows! By real I don't mean "made of glass" I just mean clear plastic and no colored tints on the windshields. When it's solid plastic color like Armada Hot Shot that allso adds to the fakeness. Souldn't have color tinted whindshields because if they're trying to hide on Earth, haveing a colored tint on your windshield is considered "obstruction of view" and is illegal. The colored tints are for some strange reason legal everywhere else on the vehicle just not the windshield.

These things play a much larger factor in realisum than exsterior proportions that could easily be customized in a good body shop. Hell you could take the body off entirely so the truck's inards and frame are showing and it'll still run.

Now because a Cybertronian doesn't run on Earth technoligy it's not so important to actully have an engine or anything under the car that looks even remotly from Earth. Hence the "looking under the hood of Bumblebee" scene in the movie was increadibly stupid. It basically showed that they aren't that much more advance than us if they have the same types of engines we do. You could pass it off as "it was a hologram, there really wasn't an Earth engine in there" except that she actully reached in and started messing with stuff.

Suposidly according to a interview I saw with Bay the reason he's not soild red is because "red doesn't film well" and just like everything else Bay says that's a load of bull.

Cybertronian vehicles can have an interior. At least according to G1 lore. We've seen Bumblebee riding inside Wheeljack, while both of them are still in Cybertronian format. Also, Galvatron riding inside Cyclonus. I would assume both Galvatron and Cyclonus were both in Cybertronian format, as they were built by Unicron without taking and input from Earth.

Although Earth cars can be customized, i'd say, they still have to retain Earthly car proportions. MP Prime do not have Earthly customization, and yet, it's got other-worldly vehicle proportions.

I agree that Mikaela should not have been allowed to tweak Bumblebee under the hood. Cybertronians may have copied Earth vehicles. But that's just for disguise. They don't have, and very impractical, to copy every nuts and bolts in the innards.

I didn't say Cybertronian vehicle modes didn't have interiors I just said they don't actully need them.

Galvatron and Cyclonus weren't Earth based that much is true but you can't really call them "Cybertronian" either. Unicron is not from Cybertron and sence he's the one who reformatted them I'd say the vehicles were based on some other alien planet. Possibly one where Unicron was originally built or from another planet he had allready devouared.

There's NOTHING other worldly about MP Prime. Otherworldly would require him to look NOTHING AT ALL LIKE ANY EARTH VEHICLE. Haveing SLIGHT INSIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCES TO WHAT THE REAL THING LOOKS LIKE is no where even close to alien. Hell if you hadn't pointed it out and someone hadn't posted a picture of a real truck I would have never noticed the differences and I've lived right down the road from a place that has dessels in it for 18 years and my dad's worked at a high school across the street from a dessel place my entire life. I seen these trucks every freaking day up close and personal and I still don't see anything "other worldly" about MP Prime. The differences between toy to real thing just aren't as great as you're makeing them out to be.

Really the only gripe I have with MP Prime is that he has one big seat In the middle of the cab and no stearing wheel or any kind of realistic interior.

And finally, at least we can agree on something.
