Does anyone who owns Universe Powerglide know if his arms and thighs can be removed for Henkei limb-swapping highjinks?

Not very easy dude. It's gonna take some major modding. Why not just get one or the other?

Weapon: Energo-Sword
Sounds to me like he's trying to combine the Hasbro and Takara into a near perfect G1 representation! (Red body/head with gray arms/legs just like the old minibot)

A neat idea I must say!

Indeed, my good sir.

If it's that hard, I won't bother though.

Wait, how would it take "major modding"? It's gonna be a case of taking the arms and legs off, then mixing and matching to achieve the desired result. Ten minutes with a screwdriver, max.

Seconded. If it's doable, I'll definitely be swapping arms when my USA Edition arrives. I'm sure Ultra Hot House won't have any problem with red arms :P

Eh, it can't be that hard to do - I own both Classic Ramjet and Henkei Ramjet, and this afternoon I took both apart and put the red Henkei wings on the Classic body(also swapped the little rotating wing fronts that attach to the torso) plus I put the chrome cockpit insert in Classic Ramjet.

finally, I took the red paint apps off the back of the Classics one and now he looks perfect.

So if you have the money and the right tools, buy both Powerglides and combine'em.

Your thread title is an annoying tease btw.

My Henkei Powerglide just arrived and I did the arm swap. It takes 3 screws per arm, and be careful to not loose the spring.

Awesome! Thanks for the update! Any chance we could get a look at his alt mode to see how it effected the look of the plane?

Awesome. I wish I had the spare cash to do that. As it is, I am giving powerglide a miss. I wonder if we will see a few white-bodied red-armed powerglides appearing on eBay in the future? :P

I picked up my Henkei Powerglide on the cheap from a damaged box on ebay. Got it for $43.99 after shipping. Most places it costs $60 to $70 with shipping.

It looks almost unchanged in vehicle mode.

This is a photo from another guy who did the conversion, not mine, but it shows the difference:

It's NOT a Leader class, it's an Ultra, one step down from Leader.

I ended up paying $21.99 for the U.S. Powerglide and $43.99 for the Henkei Powerglide.

Now I will buy the reprolabels and make the white one into Classics Hothouse.

Great pics, but are the cuffs removable as well? it would look even more cartoon-accurate if the whole arm was gray.
