TakaraTomy has updated their website with pictures and information regarding the upcoming Encore series, which will debut later this month. As mentioned previously, the series will feature original packaging, accessories, and stickers.

Yes. But with G1 packaging. In my opinion these are the ones to get if you are going to keep them in the boxes.

Just got my preorder in for all these.
Really hoping they reissue the other seekers and Autobot cars.

Ofcourse he comes with roller. These are supposed to be G1 exact replicas.

I pre-ordered a whole set.

Hasbro did release these and didn't do too shabby of a job while complying to the new toy laws. Hasbro will not do it again since they warmed shelves big time for months.

Yeah, I'm going to say it again, bring on those Microns! Most have new paint apps, except Strongarm, and Swoop, and Strongarm has a clear variant...oh baby!

Encore...not sure if I should get them because I have all the TF Collection released by Takara and they had more, and in some cases, better accessories.

How are we going to be able to get the Megatron here if it's in the "original" packaging. Wasn't he packaged as a gun. Are they going to put an orange cap in him?

If im right, BigBadToyStore will place an orange plug on him ... :-(

Did anyone else notice that on the Hybrid Style Page there's a graphic with the Armada Characters? Now to see Armada Prime actually represented in a cool 'Hybrid Style' figure would be sweet; I don't think I'd buy it, but it'd still be pretty sweet. I'm hoping for some Hybrid Style Decepticons, personally.

Personally I preferred the Takara book-style reissues but these are very nice if you weren't able to pick them up. I'm tempted to order another Prime for display.

I wasn't able to pick up the TFC Reissues, or the Hasbro versions (besides Soundwave), so I preordered Convoy, Megatron and Starscream a month ago.

I'm excited, this will be my first G1 Megs & original Prime.

For anyone who's worried about Megatron getting plugged, http://agesthreeandup.com is offering Megatron unplugged. Just be prepared for a long shipping time, as they import them by surface rather than air. Since they are based in Canada, they then must take them across the border and ship again to their US customers. This was what they had to do to avoid having to plug the MP-05s.
