So Paramount is looking at over $600 million. Quadrupling its budget. Not many movies can make that claim.

EnergonPrimeRules wrote:in comparison to the domestic (as in US) box office, spidey 3 made 336mill, shrek 3 made 320mill and pirates 3 made 307mill, all established franchises. Transformers is still having 1mill+ a day, so it will easily make at least 300mill in US, and easily 300+ in rest of the world. So let's take a look at the other 3 worldwide...
Spidey 3 553mill worldwide, for 889mill total
Shrek 3 406mill worldwide for 727mill total
Pirates 3 644mill worldwide for 951mill total
not too far from transformers' 600mill worldwide (so far) and all 3 cost alot more than transformers to make too. And the sequel will make more as all sequels do.
I find it funny how many (?) people were saying that transformers was going to flop. And let's not forget the upcoming dvd of course (as everyone that knows about the business these days, dvd sales are as (or more) important than the actual box office)
