I felt a little jaded after watching that show.
Congratulations to Shia for winning that award! Seriously, I don't think the competition was that great anyway.

I expected this...there's something about him that is catching the interest of the American moviegoer. He seems to be pretty up front (as evidenced by some of the profanity in interviews in the past) and speaks his mind. He also seems to be a fantastic talent, pulling off the quirky and high energy character he did in our movie with great skill. he kind of has that awkward, teenaged look that reminds me a little of Wil Wheaton when he was at the height of his popularity later in ST:TNG series. Now, with a spot in the new indiana Jones movie coming out, we're going to see how much box office pull he has...
It finally happened. The Chicago Cubs won the World Series. Yes, I cried.

Its kind of like Basic Instinct, but not in a good way...
Goddammit, now I can't unsee it.

I get what you're saying here, I really do.
I have one disagreement though.
I've read up on Wil Wheaton, watched TNG lately, etc....and even as popular as he was (at the tiptop of his heyday)...I still don't think he'll ever register on the map quite like LaBeouf has. It's insane how many people know of Shia (and quite well.)
You mention Wheaton and it's like "Who?" then you explain it and they're like "Oh! The whiny kid on that starship show."
You mention LaBeouf and it's "Oh yeah, the funny Even Stevens kid. He was good in that robot movie. Didja hear he's Indy's kid?!"
I think he's going to be the next Harrison Ford (and no, I'm not kidding, and no puns intended with the whole Indy issue) he's got the charisma, he's got the balls to get it done, and he won't take sh*t from anyone.
I do believe we're looking at the very next superstar. I just hope when he finally wins an Oscar, it's later (much later) on in his career...because it's generally a death knell.

Seconded. He's only worth a B-category actor, he can be happy if he will be the next Macaulay Culkin.

Yeah, "Teen Choice" isn't really a prestigious award... But for once, I guess teens have "chosen" someone with actual talent, and not some slutty airhead singer or gun-slinging rapper who have just riden the coat-tails of whoever was the fad the year before.
But good for Shia, he has alot of talent and really stole the show in Transformers (and when you can steal the show from giant robots, that's saying something), and I look forward to seeing all his future work!

I liked POTC. But the category was action adventure. TF was all action but adventure? The movie takes place in the span of THREE DAYS. That and the fact that this is the "Teen Choice" awards we are talking about.
