Hi-Res Images of New Star Wars Transformers Wave 4 Figures!
Jediinsider.com has posted some new high-resolution images of the Wave 4 figures of the "Star Wars Transformers" crossover line. These images give us a good look at the three new figures: A Luke Skywalker who transforms into a Rebel Snowspeeder, a Clone Commander who transforms into a Turbo Tank and an AT-AT Driver who transforms into the Emperial At-At Walker.

As usual, nice vehicles, crap robots. The AT-AT doesn't look right in altmode due to the variation in plastic colour.
Overall the best-looking one out of these 3 is the Turbo Tank. Best SWTF Robot Mode yet.
I won't get any of these, but if they make a Star Destroyer, I might get it for the altmode.

I'll be picking up the AT-AT Driver (along with the Galactic Heroes version, so cute...) for my brother for Christmas. The AT-AT Driver is his all-time favourite Star Wars Trooper...
But shhhh! Don't tell him! It's a surprise!

Al modes look rally nice on all 3. But Luke and the Storm Trooper have definite problems in Robot mode.
Luke has a barrage of kibble goin on there above his head. I mean if he isn't top and back heavy, then Primus doesn't turn into a Planet.
The Storm Trooper ends up looking very scrawny. not good.
However Clone Commander Cody/Turbo Tank, I like he looks nice in Alt mode, and is quite nicely put together in Robot mode. He's even good enough to repaint into something else. I wonder who had 6 or 8 tires in G1, into which he could be repainted.
I just had a one of those moments... The Snowspeeder/Luke in Yellow would make a very accurate Cybertronian G1 Bumblebee.
I feel a digibash coming on.

The Turbotank isn't too bad, but the articulation looks really bad. The rest, as usual with the Star Wars TFs, are crap.

I do wish they turned into Transformers not giant Star Wars characters. Something like Turbo Tank that turns into Motormaster, or a Snow Speeder who turns into Jazz. I just can't collect them otherwise.

Shouldn't the AT-AT have a neck?

For anyone who hasn't seen Spotlight: Sledge (and why not?!), my gritty and dark fanfiction piece "Holiday" is posted here.

Commander Cody, seems a little limited in the legs, but i think he might just be mis-transformed, or badly posed. He has what look like knees and he should be at least as poseable as a deluxe figure. Actually he's the better looking of the bunch.
The other 2, just so may things wrong with them, its sad.

New names, same crap...and I like SW and Transformers.
The AT-AT is one of my favorite vehicles, but this is not.
The Turbo Tank is the best of the bunch, and if we are talking kitbashes, I see these as a Sentinel Prime.

"The AT-AT looks pretty good" I told myself.
Then the robot mode legs loaded into the picture.
Oh. My. God. Somebody shoot that thing and put it out of my misery.

Yeah, because we all know that, unlike Star Wars, Transformers never uses the same old characters over and over again...

So anyone know the deal w/the Darth Vader Deathstar figure? That's the only one I actually like. General Grievous isn't bad though...

The Turbo Tank actually DOES look decent.
And I think that these would profit greatly from turning into original bot modes.

Star Wars Transformers are NOT moving at my Walmart. None of them. I took a look, considering I'm a fan of both...some things don't mix just because they are good by themselves. Two rights sometimes make a wrong!
