Skylinx - New Year's Release

Postby Stormrider » Wed Sep 26, 2007 10:22 am

Weapon: Atom-Smasher Cannon
We are pleased to confirm that Skylinx will be reissued and released this December as Takara’s special New Year’s Release.

Skylinx was first released back in 1986, and was seen throughout the cartoon series, but ironically this will be Skylinx’s first release in Japan.

The website, Snakas, has posted a few pictures of Skylinx from the recent event, CharaHobby, which was held in Japan. The exact release date, price, and box art for Skylinx have not been decided as of yet. (The box seen in the picture is the 1986 box.)

Also featured at the event were pictures of MP Skywarp, Nike Free 7.0 Ultra Magnus, and movie memorabilia including the Bumblebee car. Click here to see the pictures from the event.

Never liked him, but this is the first time he's out in Japan?!
Damn well the Brits are still waiting for Swoop.

It's got to less than the Predaking re-issue. I mean, it's only one character with three modes. However, he's motorized, so...

Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).

I never picked up the original because he was too pompous on the show. But the years have warn on me and I need to add him to my collection now.

I have wanted this one since I was six. I am definitely going to have to buy this reissue. If the price is not too high I will pick one up for my nephew as well. Regardless of the price there will definitely be one reissue Skylinx in sitting in me shelf.

This really blows!
Just recently I managed to buy (from Ebay) a working Sky Lynx that was still white with all stickers correctly attached...
I would have prefered the re-issue since I would be the one taking him out of the box and putting those stickers on...
Not to mention the probable price difference...

Guess I'm in the small minority-I didn't care for the toy much back in the day, still can do without him now. I'm happy for those who've wanted him though. Hope you enjoy him!

Since he was never released in Japan the box art that they decide upon will be interesting. This was unlike the Predaking reissue. I wonder if they will go with the US box art or do the JPN version of it. I would prefer a new JPN version myself.
