The fine folks over at Paramount Pictures sent us an email to let us know that theatres are now selling tickets to see Transformers Revenge of the Fallen, due in theatres June 24th, 2009.

Is this coming out midnight Tuesday or midnight Wednesday? Did we ever find out if they're pushing it to Monday like the first film?

there are some theaters in my area that have tuesday midnight showings(but not my theater, which always has midnights...) so Wednesday is the official wide release date as of now.

it's Tuesday night going into Wednesday morning. they still count Wednesday morning at 12:01 as Tuesday. :grin:

Ok now this is kinda pushing it. Its a movie not a concert. Theres no need to start selling tickets this early. Ill wait, i doubt the midnight show is going to sell out any time soon. Its still almost 3 weeks away.

True true, but I have an Imax here where they will be showing it, and I don't want to miss that.

Maybe in your neck of the woods, but I didn't get to see Transformers for the first 3 days it was out cause it was sold out.

The iMax theater in my town started selling tickets monday at midnight and within 3 hours , the midenight release on the 23 was sold out and the first 2 showing in the imax were sold out( 1pm and 415pm).. I don't know about you but that seems pretty fast IMO.. I got tickets for both the midnight and the 1 pm show

Thanks so much for the update! After reading this, i went and picked a couple of tickets up for the midnight imax showing in Seattle. Yippee... Question, I missed the midnight showing of the first one so I don't know, how early should I arrive to wait in line for some *Prime* seating?

Egos man....egos they think its a Star Wars Harry Potter flick, People are smarter this time around and wont be doing the 2nd, 3rd viewing like what happened in TF1, luckily I live in a major american city so getting a bootleg on the local metro train won't be hard, I could view that as many times as I wish. Looking forward to the reboot.

This bugs me.

America's release date is the 24th and you guys are getting tickets now? Yet we in the UK are *apparently* getting a release of the 19th... but no tickets available yet??

I need to know what days to ask off work... I'm watching the cinema sites like a hawk (I work at an Odeon too!) but nothing's happening. Anyone have any light to shed?

Sounds like the UK has better priorities, this ain't Star Wars so I am not going to treat it as such. Movies should do business how they normally do. Hopefully you live in London...I am sure someone on the Underground system will have them on dvd for cheap.
