According to an aricle in the LA Times, the US premiere of the Transformers Movie at the LA Film Festival will be open to the public, with an entrance fee of 25$ for each person, plus the cost of the pass for the event.

In one of the biggest premieres ever held in Los Angeles, the Bay juggernaut — about a race of alien robots trying to gobble Earth — will take over not one, but four Westwood movie houses on June 27, with 4,000 seats available, not just for swank "Transformers" stars like It-boy Shia LaBeouf or executive producer Steven Spielberg, but for actual members of the public.

Those who want get tickets to be among the first to see the big-screen version of the cartoon/toy line — "Transformers" doesn't open to the general public until July 4 — can do so now by paying $25 on top of purchasing a pass to the film festival. Any premiere-only tickets remaining will be sold beginning June 8.

Why do I feel I'll be the last to watch the movie when it comes out July 4th?

Crap... LA.. Can't be there any time soon..
Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).

I kinda feel the same way. Though, we are still getting to see it before the general release. There's so many pre-screenings of this film, will there be anyone left to see the movie on 7/4/7 at this rate?

Yar, all these pre-screenings kinda feel like they're cheapening not only the idea of a pre-screening, but the whole movie...
