WolfDawg wrote:I never understood the translucent plastic obsession. This repaint is about as pointless as the Sleeping MP Prime repaint. Why don't they at least give us repaints meant to be a different character (Shattered Glass MP Prime, Sunstorm) rather than the same character, only dead. These repaints are kid of ironic. Takara is literally beating a DEAD horse here.

You think that, but the target market doesn't. Ghost Starscream and Crystal Convoy figures sell quite well in the Japanese market, while Western characters like Shattered Glass Optimus Prime or Sunstorm would get the same response you've given to this figure from the Eastern Market.

Shattered Glass sold pretty well in Japan. The Japanese are, however, wondering how many repaints you intend to get out of the ROTF motorbike mold.

It's not fair if we both need to defend our cultures. Then I have to defend Kiss Players, the sneakerformers, transforming computer mice that are too valuable to put your fingers on and so one. All you need to defend is Beast Machines (though I think that was Canadian), the Energon dub and how Michael Bay was able to set foot within five yards of the Transformers franchise without bursting into flames.Counterpunch wrote:Diem wrote:Down_Shift wrote:WolfDawg wrote:I never understood the translucent plastic obsession. ::Looks at his Micron collection::
I think I have a few hundred questions that need answering first.

You mean "Why does The Joker look like Starscream?"

You know, I'm a douche. Plain and simple. E-hobby did a two releases of Sunstorm and here I am chirping WolfDawg like some uppity bee-otch. My apologies BTW.
Regardless, I just want more!

You're certainly right about different nations having different aesthetics for toys like this. Japan sure loves its shiny and/or see-through!

What do you mean by "looks like joker"? Other than the fact he is surrounded by green fumes, a huge grin and crazy eyes.....
