Amazon has an order page for the forthcoming Takara version of Animated Leader class Megatron which shows some new images of the figure.







The figure appears to have the familiar Takara sheen to it and is due to be released in July. The listing for it can be found here.

Anyone who looks at this figure will be diagnosed with ADOS. That's short for "Attention Deficit- oh, shiny!"

Sadly only his chest and shoulders are shiny. The rest is the same dull plastic. Not to mention the red Decepticon symbol should be Purple. Not worth the extra dough to import. Considering I already have the Hasbro version.

I wonder what kind of sound gimmicks this version will have. The sound gimmicks were often pretty fun. My buddy and I would have our figures have conversations for the fun of it.

Optimus: "I am Optimus Prime!"
Ultra Magnus: "Don't be a hero, Optimus. It's not in your programming."
Megatron: "HA HA HA!"
etc.
