Generations Darkmount Video Review

Postby Diem » Sun Jul 11, 2010 7:26 am

Peaugh has once again got the scoop on a new figure; this time it's the forthcoming Generations Darkmount figure. This figure is Straxus from the UK Marvel comics way back in the eighties in all but name, but this is the first time he's had a figure of his own.

The review can be seen here or embedded below.

Not to be completely off subject, can someone tell me if there is a Leader class Starscream coming out with his first moive colors? I thought I heard Takara is making him but, does Takara sell in stores or do you have to order online and are they much more expensive?

Pics would be great.

I don't know if I want to buy the ROTF leader SS or wait to see if a movie 1 leader SS comes out.

Thanks,

That is remarkably off-topic, but it appears that Leader class movieverse Starscream will be released as a Masterpiece figure. To the best of my knowledge it's going to be general release in Japan, though those outside of Japan would have to buy online. As for better colours, I have no idea.

Isn't Attention Deficit Disorder a wonderful thing? Then again, this IS a thread pretty much everyone will be looking at.

I want this fig. This is kidna cool...first we get Drift (a comic book character and a first)...then we get Straxus (another comic book character). So...who's going to be the next comic character to get a figure?
It finally happened. The Chicago Cubs won the World Series. Yes, I cried.

Its kind of like Basic Instinct, but not in a good way...

To be fair it's quite accurate to Straxus' comic alt mode. It's just that that was pretty stupid looking to begin with.

I'm hoping that they make a Jhiaxus figure in either the IDW or Marvel style. I know there's that repaint of Deluxe BM Jetstorm that is supposed to be Jhiaxus, but it looks nothing like the character. So, I'm still holding out for the real deal.

I am definitely going to pick up this guy. I really dig him as a figure and as a character. If they are going to do another comic figure for the Generations line. I sincerely hope that it's Nova Prime or a IDW styling of Galvatron(I just love the deadly jagged appearance of him.). Jhiaxus would be cool too, but I have a feeling the execution would end up lacking severely.

Remember earlier in the year when Hasbro said they're going to slightly remold and repaint Straxus? I have a feeling it's going to be Jhiaxus... :-?

Actually, Straxus is supposed to be redeco'd into Skullgrin. Anyway, I LOVE this guy. I am only 14, but my knowledge of G1 is very large. I've read a few of the G1 comics, and #17 was one of them. I love Straxus's character, and can't wait for wave two, which I hope gets releaaed near me soon! Now all we need is a legends class Scrounge...

What? No size comparison? Oh well, I'll still be picking him up. Glad he is more solid in the ankles than previously thought.

Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).
