ComingSoon wrote:Last week, we got new footage from the Detroit set and Hong Kong set of Transformers: Age of Extinction, and now we get a first look at the newly-designed Optimus Prime, thanks to the January issue of Empire magazine, which also published another set photo. Check them out below!
Coming to theaters on June 27, 2014, the Michael Bay film stars Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz, Jack Reynor, Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammer, Sophia Myles, Li Bingbing, T.J. Miller, Han Geng and Titus Welliver. Although the plot of the sequel is still top secret, Dinobots are said to be heavily involved and Bay himself teased to ComingSoon.net that it will involve a "Chase from Hell."
The January issue of Empire arrives on newsstands both real and virtual this Thursday, and it comes fully loaded with everything you need to know about Transformers: Age Of Extinction. Michael Bay's latest explode-athon graces our cover, and inside is our comprehensive set visit coverage with all the lowdown on what to expect from this new start for the franchise. Check out the cover, and a new and exclusive pic of Bay in action, below.

And the only thing that says optimus prime is the head. When they said redesign i was hoping for more transformer looking bots with transformations that actually make sense but instead they're going more towards generic robot that will probably just morph randomly into a vehicle. Well i had no hope for this movie and i still dont.

Indeed, for that serves the function of being a chest and the core of the body, holding it together.MINDVVIPE wrote:A chest that happens to look like a trucks windshield is NOT kibble.

My only thing is that the only thing recognizable as Optimus Prime is the head. Needs more window boobies.

Armada Optimus didn't have windows on his chest. I don't see too many people complaining about that.
