Leader; love the bot mode, for size and chrome goodness.
However if funds are low or a good price strikes, the voyager is a good deal; especially if you get some of these store promos going on.

I went ahead and looked up some reviews online. The leader has a load of chrome on it, which appears to flake immediately as well as rubber galore. Both are dealbreakers. I'm going for the cheaper, sturdier Grimlock.

The Voyager for the dino mode, the Leader for robot and better scale. Despite its misgivings in robot mode, the Leader is alright, but the dino mode is all kinds of derpy. The Voyager's robot is alright, and the dino mode looks infinitely better than the Leader's. My opinion, of course.

ive got and reviewed both, and i actually like the leader better, but for scale, the voyager may be a better option with the other dinobots

I have both and think the voyager is a way better figure. If the voyager was leader size and wasn't stuck with gorilla arms, if wouldn't even be close.

So here we are, 6 months later. And finally I have arrived at this decision, with both Leader and Voyager Grimlock being at my Walmart, 1 each. So I have to pick soon, before someone buys 1 or both. At 1st I couldn't stand the movie Grimlock, especially the characterization. But lately, I've been wanting 1 for my Grimlock shelf. I like both the Leader and the Voyager, they will be staying in robot mode, so I am not worried about the T-Rex modes. What does worry me, however, is the chrome on the Leader. After owning it for 6 months or more, is there chrome damage? Also, do any of you regret buying the 1 you did, or did you get both? The biggest Grimlock I have is MP-08, and I think Voyager would go well with him. I don't want 2 sizes of the same figure, but they are so different, it's almost like 2 different characters.

Love our Leader Grimlock, We keep him in robot mode. As for the chrome, Love it too. Might be an issue if I intended to resell, but I don't. Chrome looks good on him, and we purchased as soon as he was released. Good to see more ratcheting joints coming back too!

Agreed about the leader.
The voyager has the benefit of a more compact alt mode but the leader captures the scale of Grimlock well in both modes.
If you can snag him, the Leader is the way to go.
