I'd say they'll wait for BW's 30th when all the BW kids are in their 40s (like us G1 kids) when nostalgia knocks on the door the hardest. By then the G1 kids will be too worried about their prostates.Burn wrote:But the BW kids would have more disposable income by now. The G1 love will dry up eventually

This prior TRU shelf warmer says "hello". Seriously though, I agree it does seem a bit criminal that BW 20th was unceremoniously skipped over, I woujld actually like to see some BW toys get reissues. Not to compete against the original Transformers, but merely to give the series, and it's fans, their due respect.

Forgot about Tankor. The others were pre-generations? Like universe or something?william-james88 wrote:carytheone wrote:How many wdre there? Cheetor, Dinobot, Tankor and Optimal Optimus
Only Cheetor and Dinobot were Universe.carytheone wrote:Forgot about Tankor. The others were pre-generations? Like universe or something?william-james88 wrote:carytheone wrote:How many wdre there? Cheetor and Dinobot don't count because they were pre Generations. Optimal Optimus was severly handicapped by one of the most stupid-ass gimmicks I've ever seen out of Hasbro. Tankor was pretty good, just needed to be larger.
So yeah, I'm mainly referring to Rattrap, Rhinox, and Waspinator.
So? Generations started off as a continuation of 2006-2007's Classics and 2008-2009's Universe lines. It's all still the same concept of updating old characters with modern day regular retail toys. Generations even featured Classics and Universe molds in its initial phase (e.g. - Thrust, Red Alert, Dirge, Thundercracker, etc.), and is where the C and U in "CHUG" come from.Ironhidensh wrote:Cheetor and Dinobot don't count because they were pre Generations.

Fine. Cheetor and Dinobot do not count because they were god awful pieces of ****. Is that better?I know a lot of people like to group it all together in the 'chug' line, but I really felt that generations, especially the thrilling 30 line, was a higher quality beast.

Quite frankly all the "modern" takes of Beast Wars characters have been pieces of ****.

I thought Thrilling 30 Rattrap, Rhinox, and Waspinator were all excellent figures, frankly.
Waspinator's mold is the only one that I felt was truly a worthy successor to its predecessor. Both Rhinox's and Tankor's molds seemed like decent tries but also could have been better. Rattrap's mold, meanwhile, frustrates me to no end.Burn wrote:Wolfman Jake wrote:Ironhidensh wrote:Burn wrote:Ironhidensh wrote:Sabrblade wrote:So? They were okay, but I preferred the original releases. It's like they took already good figures and said "hey, we can make these better by complicating them".
