A lot of this assumptions on my part, but here's what I think is happening here:
-They don't want to mention Siege/ER stuff because they're trying to cross-sell figures in the current line by mentioning them
-Haslab Unicron is out at this point, and since that is technically the WFC Unicron, I assume they want to keep Galvatron & Cyclonus associated with him as opposed to free Decepticons (which also helps them sell the SS86 Scourge & others)
-We know at this point that some of the Golden Disk card futures are "becomes a Herald of Unicron" in the same way some of them are "becomes a Maximal" or "becomes a Decepticon", which further seems to indicate that Hasbro might potentially be treating Unicron-affiliation as basically it's own unofficial faction right now
-There could be reasoning for it related to the Netflix show (seeing as how that's where things like the Mercenary faction, the ER map, and the versus aspect of the Siege vote really actually came into play)

Ooh, a full-on Horrorcon multipack would be cool, and we do know Blackarachnia's alternate head sculpt is her toy head...but we'd need to wait for the next wave to be revealed before that'll become a possibility.
