Yes, I remember reading that now. Thanks! Looks like we'll have almost all of the BW season 1 cast, except for Inferno. If I was Hasbro, I would have made a 2-pack of both Infernos in voyager size. Like TC and SW were. That would have freed up another voyager spot for someone else. I do hope we get Tarantulas.william-james88 wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:Do we know all the figures planned for release in the Kingdom line? Will we get the entire BW cast (season 1 at least)? Yes, here is the article I had written and no we aren't getting all the BW cast since the line is split with G1 characters

The Infernos double pack would have been a great idea, they can pretty much throw in most obscure character/repaint with either ant inferno or terrorsaur as the packs will sell to those wanting to completing the s1 cast anyhoos.
I can see them doing a selects pack with Bat Optimus and Skullcruncher repainted as Megatron knowing how much I spent on Batconvoy
and that my Megatron repaint is still a work in progress x years later.

Seriously, the paint masking on this lil lady is not very good.
I hate it, but I'll end up doing some touch-ups to bring the black to those hard edges on her face.

My Target run last night netted me my first Kingdom figures! So far, it's just Core Rattrap and Vertebreak, along with a lone Deluxe Warpath. The only other Kingdom figure I saw was Core Optimus Prime, which I passed on.

I got Optimus Primal today, and he's fantastic! Nice detailing, good articulation, looks good in both modes, and not as small as I was expecting (I remember hearing that he's be the same height as Seige Ironhide, but he is a bit taller). The only thing that really concerns me is the back piece takes a bit of effort to unpeg when transfoerming, and I'm worried it may break one day. He's the updated Optimis Primal figure I've been wishing for since the late 2000's, and I'm really happy with him.
The foil sticker I got with Optimus had Blackarachnia on it, showing her as a Maximal with a slightly different colour scheme (green eyes, purple on her legs and boobs, and what looks like dark orange or red on her shoulders, claws and gun). It would be nice if we got this as a repaint at some point.
Also, I LOVE how the bottom flap on Optimus Primal's box has the reptilian eye from the old Beast Wars toy packaging printed on it, that's some great attention to detail right there.

Seems online retailers are taking their time. How is Primal already out in stores but not being shipped from BBTS or Amazon?

As weirded out as I was with the WFC story bringing in the Beast Wars characters, I am so freaking glad they did as we are getting some amazing figures. Megatron and Primal both are excellent, in my opinion, and look great next to the G1 figures.
Speaking of which, here's ER Megatron riding Kingdom BW Megatron shooting the accessory pack Megatron.

I'm on the fence about both Primal and Megatron, I have the 10th anniversary 2-pack and I'm satisfied with them. I did noticed that Kingdom Primal is more screen accurate, but I don't like Kingdom Megatron that much. And I won't get 1 without the other.

What about redecos? T-Wrecks out of Megatron is already on the list, and I can see TakaraTomy make (yet another) Burning Beast Convoy redeco for Selects.

Just saying, if they do a Burning Convoy from this and do it with the yellow flame effects, I'll be slightly disappointed that the retail did better than the MP for accuracy

I'm a sucker for a redeco with a popping paint job, so if they look good I'll get them. Burning Convoy is pretty self explanatory. I just need to see what T-Wrecks will look like.Jelze Bunnycat wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:I'm on the fence about both Primal and Megatron, I have the 10th anniversary 2-pack and I'm satisfied with them. Burning Convoy without Flash Lio Convoy would be kind of sad though...
. I know this goes down a whole other rabbit hole but, perhaps in the next 2 years, if we get more BW toys in future Generations lines, we can get a proper release of a Lio Convoy in North America? I'd love to see BWII get some love here. I mean TT did issue the God Neptune set as a Selects, but I think that was out of sheer convenience. Most of the cast of BWII would require all new toys to be developed.

I'm still holding out hope for an MP Lio repaint into Flash to go with my Burning.
Funny thing is, if they did BWII characters (which I would love, that's the part of BW I need to conquer), a lot of the BWII Maximals could be repainted into their American counterparts, the reverse of the OGs!

Yes to all 3 of these.
But amazingly, i don't think Big Convoy even needs an update, even though is my favorite Beast Wars character and toy. That original toy is so damn good and so damn posable too. He just needs some work on the Kibble getting in the way, so better kibble placement would help him, and a wrist swivel.
Magmatron needs a toy with posable limbs, I would love to see a new one of him.
B'Boom/Apache is still pretty good, but I would welcome better arms

Agreed! I love my big Convoy and b'boom, and I never got magmatron because the lack of articulation was a bummer and he looked frustrating to transform. With the engineering of today's transformers I think they could pull off an awesome magmatron toy.
Id still be curious to see an updated bboom and bug Convoy though, with updated engineering and design elements. Maybe they could get them to look similar to in the IDW comics, or just have generations style updates to the cartoon versions so they can better fit with the other kingdom beast wars figures

I actually had 2 Magmatrons, the original NEO one in a 2-pack set with Big Convoy, and the Target Exclusive Beast Machines one. I kept both MISB, and were part of the great purge of 2007. I'd love to get a new update for sure, and enjoy it this time.

Although I've been told I'm wrong, I believe that Hasbro has to give preference to brick and mortar retailers over online retailers, especially Amazon.

Although I was tempted by Warpath for a second, I passed this time.

Re: War for Cybertron Kingdom Discussion The Beasts Return!
Hasbro Pulse has sent out emails saying that preorders for core, deluxe, and voyager figures have arrived before the estimated schedule and will begin processing over the next few days. Presumably, other etailers will be getting them soonish if they haven't already. Still no word on leaders yet.
