As for Cyclonus, I am beyond amazed at what they pulled off in a standard voyager. That spaceship nose transformation is one for the ages. For years, the generations line, while great, didn't wow me too much with transformations since they were always based on the original toys, transforming in similar ways. But man, this really surprised me. This list is going to have to be redone: https://www.seibertron.com/transformers ... des/35054/

I do still like what they did with Optimus Primal, but he was always going to be just an okay figure for me since you really can't do too much transformation-wise when all 4 gorilla limbs are also the same 4 bot limbs. I actually do appreciate what they did with the knees so that you can use either a 4 legged or upright posture in gorilla mode. Yes, they are probably more complicated than they need to be, but you really can't do too much else within the limits of the transformation.

I take most of that knee articulation thing I said back. For some reason, I didn't see the upright gorilla segment of the instructions (which by the way are a big improvement over previous instructions). The tab isn't strong for the robot knee joint to be solid though so that issue remains. But I get it now, all good.
And I just transformed Megatron and what I experienced is something I never ever experienced before. I have transformed the original toy more than any other figure and it is my favourite childhood toy, by FAR. The MP transformed the same basic way with slight changes (and a whole new complexity to panels). So when I was transforming Kingdom BW Megatron (without instructions), I came to a point where the figure made no sense to me. The torso changed axis, the head was one way, the tail another and you tuck the head in but how can I get the torsoto reorient upwards?! It just didn't seem possible. That's when I realized that it's because that part of the transformation is flipped upside down. It was a really topsy turvy time for me. But fun. And most of the tabs work well, I don't have any issue with this new Megs as a toy, through there are a few design choices I would change but then again we already have more accurate versions anyway so I welcome everything the design team tried out here.

I hope the Core class does well so we can get a Core-class Galvatron.
* Cyb. Galvatron key, missiles
* Omega Lock
* Primus Cyber Key, coattail panel
* Powerlinx Comettor
* Leader Sentinel Prime sword, shield
* RiD Galvy dragon head, beast arms
* Leader Ironhide windshield, R hood assy.
* Cyb. Wing Saber left chestplate (argh)

Same. "Cosmetically somewhat more G1 in altmode" is not enough of an enticement for me, and I slightly dislike the new paldrons and the new blue chestplate section.TOO MUCH ENERGON! wrote:I already have Siege Magnus and while this new version is cool, it’s not different enough to warranty me shelling out the cash for another leader class figure.

Now, if we got a Commander-class Ultra Magnus that could do this for Deluxe Autobot cars (3 or 4 for, depending on whether he's carrying the chestplate or not)..

...and this for Titan/Prime Masters...

...and this for, well, whatever jet you'd like but SIEGE Skyfire would be especially good, while having a separate, Voyager-height cab robot?
That, I'd be interested in.

For me, he's the best figure I've bought in a long, long time... I mean, I'm not comparing him to any combiners, but as a single, regular release, main line figure, he's just so good for multiple reasons.
Now, I don't have a ton of figures from these recent lines, and I haven't opened my Netflix Soundwave yet, but for me:
1. Kingdom Cyclonus
2. SS86 Scourge
3. ER Seekers
Since I never picked up Siege Magnus, I am tempted by this Kingdom version. In terms of appearance, I do like this one better. I'll do my best to wait until he's on some sort of sale, but if I see him I know it will be tempting. I had the Classics version in the Fansproject armor set but sold it. I still have a sealed Classics 2 pack of him and Skywarp, but I think I'd like to add this new version to my collection.

Other day I did get my Primal figure in and he is pretty much perfect. Everything I wanted and more. He has a great look, poses well with great articulation, solid and heavy. They worked in all the shoulder and arm cannons which I was hoping for and he has both swords. Just awesome, and my first real Primal figure(except PotP Throne Optimal) since I missed out on original Beast Wars being in high school and college at the time. He is also one of my favorite characters.

It looked okay with the trailer. Both robot modes looked pretty good. The Kingdom one however, I feel let down. Whereas the Siege could be forgiven because "Cybertronian vehicle" (lazy but acceptable-ish), the Kingdom UM should have either been an extensive retool to fix the issues, or a new mold to fix the issues. It's already a parts-former, so they should have been able to make both modes good using the parts-forming, otherwise what is the point? I forgive parts-forming if it's used effectively. But when it's used and they still have those issues, it just feels pointless. I with they would have taken the ER/K Optimus Prime and painted him white,armored him up with a new trailer, and a little remolding. Would have been amazing.
IIRC, according to word from one or some of the leakers over on TFW a while back, that was originally the plan, but it wasn't quite in the budget, so they ended up just retooling the Siege mold.

I wish they could have done it as a selects figure or pulse exclusive or something if the budget didn't allow it. There are avenues to charge outside the usual price point. I don't like exclusives, but if that's the only way they will make the figure then what can you do?

Watched PrimevPrime's review of Ractonite the other day, a toy that I am very much looking forward to, as Paleotrex is absolutely amazing. While this is not the first review of this toy, He is the first to refer to this toy in the female gender. Now while I honestly don't care, as these are toys, what does puzzle me sometimes is if/how/why fans make things up. I mean most of Kingdom so far are characters from the past we are familiar with, but the fossilizers are new, and let's be honest, Hasbro hasn't really been putting a lot of effort into making Bio's lately. With packaging in multiple languages, you basically get a single sentence as to who this character is supposed to be.
Most of the time PvP doesn't have packaging to his toys (for obvious reasons), so I am curious to know is there official info online from Hasbro that refers to Ractonite as a Female? If so, then that is perfectly fine, I just don't like when people make stuff up that has no basis.

I mean, I doubt his info's correct knowing his track record but it's all personal choice on how you view gender-ambiguous characters. I've always seen AoE Scorn as a fembot.
Personally I'll probably identify them as female to be the Strika of Fossilizers.

That is a really good question with what happened to ToyFair being pushed from Feb to May to October now in Texas and returning to New York next year. I would have expected wave 3 to be revealed at Toyfair if it was still in Feb, so a Fan First Friday is probably going to be how they end up doing it. I can't see them waiting much longer or the leaked production test items that TonTon and others like to review will beat them to it.

Not to mention that the product IDs were found in retailers, something that happens very shortly before preorders / reveals go up.
There's apparently some IGN cybercon thingie happening soon. TFs aren't on the docket, but it's still possible for reveals there (given Kingdom's IGN history).

No chance of an early release for Dinobot?
Megatron seems to not be in at BBTS yet. also on Pre-Order as are SS Hot Rod and Grimlock.
Megatron states it will be available I March, and HR and Grimmy on April, so will probably stick Meg in Pile of Loot until the other 3 arrive and I can ship the together.
