And that makes me sad. Because, to be honest, I wanted a huge Tidal Wave toy much much more than I wanted a transforming Ark. At least I'll get a Teletraan toy though.

If they made an actual Last Autobot out of the Ark, it'll be a hard pass. I'm making room for Ark as it is.

As for the comments related to the core figures, I am surprised people are still confused since Hasbro was very clear to their purpose. They are meant to be budget options for parents wanting to buy their kids G1 characters. And that's it. It has never been about them interacting with the ark, they were always going to be too big for that.
As for the reveals themselves. I love that Galvatron, looks great. I even like the combined rail gun mode. Don't care for it on the canon mode though, would be nice if they had a pic without them.
I won't be buying the ark, I have no room for that anymore.
I am ok with Scorponok but it's here that I am getting kind of annoyed at the "real life animal" look. His beast mode had a lot of personality and it also worked well for the robot mode's transformation since it keeps the same proportions in the torso area. Oh well.
Also, that purple is far too intense on that figure. I watch the show regularly and his colours are muted to blend in together, here is looks jarring.

Same here. I've been over the "event pre-order" thing since Toy Fair 2020 after most of my pre-orders were canceled by Target, Walmart and Amazon. And the same with later pre-orders. Only thing I'll pre-order are those stores exclusives. Everything else, I'll order for my store and hope that I actually get the items from my distributors. You'd be shocked at how much Transformers toys that I order for the Seibertron Store never comes into stock. Still waiting on wave 2 Cyberverse deluxes and MP-19+ Smokescreen, Diamond! (just to name a couple off the top of my head)

kinda surprised he doesnt have a third mode though like all the other titans.
TBH considering its the ark i actually wouldnt have minded if it DIDNT have a bot mode in lieu of a full on playset to display your deluxe and voyager class figures on. its pretty much the only occasion they'd get away with that move.
kinda amused at the breastforce gimiick with teletraan 1 and i like how mainframe looks (we ALL know its getting a redux to him down the line
but i'dve prefered if teletraan was made up of 3 or 4 bots like reflector was that turned into Guardian drones.
still like i said happy enough to just get another towering fig to go with the rest.

Galvatron was always going to be a buy.
I certainly think OG Scorponok was / is a better toy than the new Deluxe Class, but I'll most likely be getting it when I find it in a store.
I know all the issues with all the pre-orders and getting cancelled, but I've gotten everything so far from Hasbro Pulse,

Sounds ridiculous. The coolest part about tidal wave was that he was 3 alt modes in one that then connected into a 4th alt mode that then turned into a robot. He was the opposite of a partsformer/combiner and still an original concept to this day. Enough with the placeholder BS toys.
Amen, brother!
Tidalwave deserves his own mold. Commander being the best class for him.

Description of Upcoming Beast Wars Terrorsaur Toy
Posted by william-james88 Thu Apr 08, 2021 9:42 am
I've seen a pic of Terrorsaur, looks pretty good for an Airrazor retool
Pteranadon mode looks good to me, with the concession that like most TFs with jet/aerial modes it looks best from the top.
He looks decent in botmode, a bit sleek maybe, and the wings on the back are quite off model but will probably not be an issue when you have the figure in hand.
It looks like he has a faux chest piece made to look like the back of the Pteranadon so they didn't have to reorient the transformation scheme.
I'd say on the whole it's the Botmode that's compromised (and only barely) which was the right choice as Terrorsaur's onscreen transformation involved CGI magic...
Can't tell size from the images I've seen, but a pretty significant re-tool.
From what I can tell the major shared parts are the lower legs the forearms and potentially some of the internal skeleton/structure.
Head(s), wings, chest, waist, feet etc all look to have new sculpting
To be honest he's not really show or toy accurate, but you can tell the team at Hasbro have done their best within the retool budget allowed.
Pteranadon head (articulated opening mouth) on the back in botmode, and what looks like a faux chest that remains the chest in Pteranadon mode.
Wings are tip down (not upside down like the OG toy).

Obviously as Combiners and City-Bots are my favorite, there seems to be two distinct camps on Tidalwave. I fall into the CC line as well. It's in no way an attempt to diminish this character. I think he would make an amazing CC toy. But a lot of hardcore Armada fans really want a Titan, not sure why. The only time in fiction he was ever depicted at that size was in the PS2 game, and that was more of an anomaly. Also his very first darkened silhouette appearance in Armada definitely seemed like he was a gigantic bot, but turned out to be a "bigger-than-average" bot throughout Armada & Energon until reformatted into boat-guy (can't remember his name).
Wish List of Modern Combiners: Road Caesar, Monstructor & Dinoking (proper size to fiction), Landcross, Guard City, Battle Gaia, & G2 Defensor. Wish List of Titans:Metrotitan,Majin Zarak

I said that too once I had Airazor in hand. I could literally see the Terrorsaur figure you could make from the design. Figured Terrorsaur would be a heavy retool, or at least, share engineering. Much like how 1rst ed TF-Prime Optimus and the first Studio Series Optimus share engineering. Though I didn't expect a faux chest.
I got utterly poo-poo'd for stating that opinion though.
That being said, still rumor until revealed, so could just be a made up story.

Oh wow...that is news to me. I bought it brand new. Still have it to this day, but never really liked it. I didn't have kids of my own when it came out, but I let several of my friends' kids play it who would have been the right demographic, and none of them really liked it, said it was "too hard". I seem to recall getting some cheat codes to finish the game, and never playing it again. Also, I'm not saying this is a better game, but I paid quite a bit to import the Japanese PS2 game. I know in terms of function it is not nearly as smooth, (and got terrible reviews) but I found it way more enjoyable, and finished it 4 times through on my own (2x as Autobots, and 2x as Decepticons) to unlock all the characters.
That is definitely a head-scratcher that something that many people today don't even know exists, could be the definitive version of a character. But then again, I like a lot of obscure things as well.
