There was a time when Megatron was nigh impossible to find in stores. Oh how the tables have turned.

I've heard rumors of some figures in some lines getting solid case packs. The fact that this Walmart had 20+ of Megatron, and no other leaders definitely strengthens that theory. And yes I remember the photos of the solid case of Wingfinger from last summer.

Yeah and I just had the same experience with Tigatron this past week. I couldn't find him anywhere for weeks, so last Sunday I finally broke down and bought him on eBay for $15 over MSRP. I just didn't want to miss him and wanted to complete my Season 1 cast. I got him on Tuesday, and on Wednesday I went into my Wal-Mart and found 2 of him on the shelf. I was a bit pissed, but it was alleviated by the fact that even though the figures looked intact inside, both boxes were crumpled like something heavy had been dropped on them.

So in the end, I don't feel that bad about spending the extra bit, especially since I made a killing on some eBay sales earlier in the year. All I need now are Airazor, Tarantulas and Inferno and the season 1 cast will be complete.

That's probably for the online stores, with the overstock being shifted to brick-and-mortar just to move them. Or just a shipping and stocking error.

I got and opened up my Road Ranger and Puffer 2-pack.

Overall, it's not too bad a package. The robot modes are definitely where the molds shine (I didn't get Huffer and haven't seen Pipes yet FYI). Road Ranger has some really great colors, The black, orange, and red really pop, and the silver along with the weapons make him look ever so slightly like a hardass. He looks really cool. Puffer is really nice too, I love the IDW Pipes head and the pipe weapons. The colors on him are more subtle, but are still really nice. He's neat looking.

Alts are where things fall apart. I do not like the truck modes, I can't seem to get them to line up properly and still have more than 2 wheels on the ground, and to get 3 wheels on the ground it looks squashed in the center. It's disappointing that the transformation aspect is so weak on these guys, robot modes rock, but alts just don't. Makes me wonder if I should actually get Pipes. I have the T30 one, and Puffer is enough of IDW Pipes (and is technically one part Pipes) that I could just be happy with him.

Oh also, 3rd pic: all 3 of those toys are the same concept executed wonderfully and I love them.

I think Huffer and Co have some serious design flaws. The truck cab sit way too high and the whole truck is indeed crooked. I wonder what mods can we do to fix those annoyances? I could forgive the high cab, but the crookiness is painful.

Yeah, I've been saying this since I got huffer, but people kept telling me I was doing it wrong Pipes has the same flaw and I'm glad that I didn't bother to get the 2-pack

Yeah, they have several issues. I pointed them out on my set 7 pages ago.

I remember some people having an issue with huffer bowing in the middle causing not all the wheels to roll. Not sure if that's related to your issues, I never really noticed anything on my copy.

The Huffer mold does have enough clearance when everything is tabbed in correctly. You are likely missing something in the transformation. The arms have to be lined up just right and tab in multiple places to the rest of the truck.

As far as I can tell, the arms are tabbed into his waist, and the tabs on the back of the cab. Still the front tires are floating above the ground.


But I think It's not scraping against the shoulder panel, I was wrong there, but against the hole it pegs into. Switched the tires, and the issue changed places. So I assume its the tire peg, that's a bit thicker on one tire than the other.

However, it still not clear to me why it's not touching the ground.

Despite the truck mode flaws, I am enjoying Puffer. His fusion backstory is very fun for me, considering my love of both Tigerhawk and Battle Force 5 Fused. It adds a lot to him that allows me to fill in blanks and enjoy him personality wise. Also, his colors really speak to me despite blue and white not really being a favorite scheme of mine, and the blast effects also help. I think he will be taking those from Nemesis Primal, they work better with him

Along with other things like comics and other collectibles. I had been hoarding some stuff for a few years, and when this "pandemic" started last year and I was spending more time at home, I went through all my stuff in my "play room" and realized I didn't even care about half of it, I just got it on impulse, including some Transformers. So I've been slowly paring down my collection over the past 2 years.

Anyway, on topic, last week I finally spotted a Kingdom Arcee for the 1st time ever in a B&M store.

Ya know, I love Puffer. But he's overshadowed Road Ranger a lot, which is a shame, because Road Ranger has awesome colors. He really stands out visually. But Puffer's fiction just makes him rule way harder.

Finally got myself Wingfinger! The main Fossilizer trio is complete!

And apparently there seems to have been some confusion about his legs and how they should be attached or even constructed going by the Instructions and stock photos. Specifically:

- how the upper legs are attached: ports forward or back. I have them forward so they don't bump into the back pelvic parts, as per Instructions
- how the lower leg or shin is assembled: according to the Instructions the triangular detail below the knee is supposed to face forward, but some stock photos have the piece misassembled(?) so it's facing back.

I don't blame them, really, Paleotrex has the same thing with his limbs.

Transformers Kingdom deluxe Pipes and Slammer have been found at Canadian retail. Seibertronian Matrix Holder found these at a Gamestop in Ontario. They were $30 CAD after use of the platinum edge card. And that means that all deluxes have been found in Canada before the literal year end.

These had initially been found in the US half a month ago.

I secured preorders for Pipes and Slammer on amazon, but still hoping to find them in stores.

If I see it in store before it ships, I'll still get it, and cancel Amazon, but I seriously doubt that considering all the Walmarts in my area either still have a healthy supply of wave 4, or are restocking wave 3 deluxe for some reason.

Sweet, thanks for this. Amazon didn't update my Slammer yet, expected tomorrow, but hasn't shipped yet, so I cancelled and ordered Slammer and Blaster from Pulse.

If you want to try and find them in stores, try Target. That is where I found Pipes just before Christmas (I was too late for Slammer). Walmart appears to be putting out a bunch of wave 3 and 4 together right now.

Unfortunately all the Targets in my area are putting out zero Kingdom product, and have been void of it since before the holiday. Just Buzzworthy and Cyberverse. If I go by a Target in the next couple of days I'll check, but at least I have a Monday deadline to hopefully finish Kingdom.

Not my usual play, but I'm not getting anything. I'll wait for them in the store. I just paid them 100 bucks for Jetfire so I'm slowing my roll.
