Chronologically, the Beast Wars took place on Earth after the Ark and Nemesis crash-landed there and before the Autobots and Decepticons awoke from their slumber. The story of Earthrise is the Ark and Nemesis's journey to Earth through space, culminating in the ships crash-landing there.

Yeah, don't get me wrong, I love the Generations approach circa T30. It's not just one generation, or one at a time. But the WfC line doesn't seem like a logical fit, and I can't square Fossilizers with Modulators. Even little things like Blast Effects, do they ditch those? Well we get fire effects for breath attacks or more standard laser effects that don't go with beasts?

And then the narrative is a whole other thing. We don't know how the new Earthrise factions work, and now we're getting two more. Time travel alongside "alternate universe" Optimus Prime?

The IDW books and the trailer for the Netflix series are still nascent, but I can't make sense of the beasts fitting in there. I've seen all of Cyberverse (that's available in The States, anyway), and they have Quintessons and a Maximal and a Predacon, but no real through-line.

If you want to mix up or crossover product lines, I'm for it. But in this line, how, and why? I don't get it.

I wasn't trying to be funny, just genuinely trying to understand. Thanks for clearing it up and I can certainly see that side of things, but maybe with hindsight it will make sense, not much good now I know when all we have is speculation.

Does anyone else think it odd that they would advertise part 3 on adverts for part 1? A show that they are likely only just starting production wise? I'd guess that they've been working on Earthrise already.

This has always been the problem with cherry picking from across the range. Some of them don't make sense in belonging next to others. Star Saber was as removed from Prowl as Botanica is from him. Throwing the whole toybox into a line without real context will ultimately just alienate/confuse.

But there was context for Cheetor and Sky-Byte. They weren't a Maximal and a Predacon among Autobots and Decepticons, they were just another Autobot and just another Decepticon who happened to turn into mechanical animals instead of vehicles, just like how Grimlock was also an Autobot who turned into a mechanical animal. Same goes for Thunderhowl and Hammerbyte later.

All I can say about this is that the rumors sound cool and I'm cautiously optimistic, which is not something I ever thought I'd say about Beast Wars under Warden.

The beasts are taking over! An image of the poster from the third part of the Transformers War for Cybertron trilogy has been found on Facebook. It further confirms the name Kingdom along with showing us loads of Beast Wars characters next to G1 mainstays Optimus Prime, Megatron and Bumblebee. All the Beast Wars characters are in their season 1 form adn include:

Optimus Primal
Cheetor
Airazor
Tigatron
Dinobot
Blackarachnia
Scorponok
Rattrap

A few people brought this up and sent us the info such as Stargrave, Sabrblade and Verno. Let us know what you think!

hard to be sure, zooming in ot it, it looks like cyclonus in jet mode, but looking at it zoomed out, it does look like a purple t-rex. Either would make me a happy pappy.
