That's why I'm wary of the idea of realistic beast modes. They tried that with Cheetor and it looked awful.Immortal Starscream wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Though, the question that still remains is... Will it be good?-WonkoTheSane- wrote::KREMZEEK:![]()

nightmares of previous Cheetor toys suddenly come to mind X_X. Generations was not previously kind to him, at all.

Better yet, a medieval castle with a drawbridge and moat.Hellscream9999 wrote:I'd love to see metroplex re-done, but as a giant mythical animal

I have briefly wondered about that.
Imagine if you will:
An Inferno with a propeller-butt that can't spin
A Dinobot with a rotating blade that doesn't spin
A Scorponok with molded-in missiles in his claw that can't fire
Rhinox with chain guns that can't spin
All these and more in WFC: Kingdom!

I have the same opinion overall.. I think 10th Anniversary Megs was decent, and Henkei Dinobot based on what I've seen of him, Robotmasters Megs and Primal seem okay going by pictures, but the rest... 10th Anniversary Primasl was weird, Universe Cheetor sucked, Generations Rhinox, and Waspinator are basically lateral moves (except Waspy can't launch stuff, to my knowledge), Generations Rattrap has some flaws based on looking at him, PotP Optimal Optimus is hampered by the Evolution gimmick...Burn wrote:The few "modern" updates that BW characters have received over the years have, to me, been more "meh" than ol mate crossover Maverick, so I seriously hope they lift their game because I don't think the fandom is prepared for a mass disappointment of the BW kids.

Its kind of like Basic Instinct, but not in a good way...
Goddammit, now I can't unsee it.

We've been dying for something new. Could this Beast Wars love FINALLY lead to Transtech? That would be epic.

but the newer Cheetor and Dinobot? Yeah, those are old toys that even I can't really get behind. Dinobots' ... okay ... but Cheetor was a mess.

You speak as though launching missiles are some kind of cursed amulet that blocks a figure from having good articulation and transformation engineeringGauntlet101010 wrote:Having both the original Waspy and the generations one I greatly favor the latter version. The kibble compression has greatly improved, yes. That being said, the omission of the maces from his weapons is actually show-inaccurate and the original mold fares somewhat better when you compare, say, the Telemocha deco:Gauntlet101010 wrote:I don't have the original Rhinox, but ...

Dinobot is massively improved by the Henkei deco, and at least he had the design coal of being as show-accurate as possible in both modes. Whereas Cheetor was "Realistic cheetah-mode proportions at the cost of everything else"Gauntlet101010 wrote:but the newer Cheetor and Dinobot? *shrug* Perhaps, perhaps not. But things that used to move and bend getting reduced to static dummies feels like a downgrade - especially when it happens to things like beast mode limbs. And that's what I'm worried about happening with the Beast Warriors. Especially with the mass limits having tightened some even since 2013.Gauntlet101010 wrote:I just agree with Sentinel_Primal on firing missiles. They go in a bin and I hope I don't lose them. So I don't miss 'em. rotation gimmicks are better. But their loss doesn't mean the old figures are better.
The Cybertron deco is all I have too.Gauntlet101010 wrote:10th Anniversary Deluxe Megatron - I have the Cybertron version ... it's a fun toy. I mean it's not accurate at all, but it's so fun to pose and transform. I like him a lot.
The look puts me off too, and I don't have him. He's this weird amalgamation design, instead of being based off his Season 1 bod like Megatron.Gauntlet101010 wrote:I don't have Primal and the look turns me off. Maybe he's fun too, I wouldn't know.
