I would love a comic-scaled Scorponok and Maximus. And while they're at it, we could get a properly updated G1 Powermaster Prime at Commander class, possibly using a modified version of Siege or ER Prime as the core figure. I would most likely pick up commander Tidal Wave if he was accurate to the original release (except combining with Megatron, I can do without that), but because he was 3 modules combined into 1, if he was Titan Class his troop transport/aircraft carrier would be perfect for deluxe or legends figures.ZeroWolf wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:I think you're right about Metroplex getting redone, but I also believe Tidal Wave deserves a titan class figure as well.ZeroWolf wrote:Commander Tidal Wave would fit the billl, plus you can make him combinable with Galvatron. As for the titan, maybe Warden got his wish. It has been 7-8 years since Metroplex was made
To be honest, I'd be happy enough with either. Just think it's time for a con commander (a conmander?) And unless they start doing multiple characters at the price point, I'm drawing a blank on characters that (besides redos like Overlord or smaller comics based Scorponok)
Considering that in truck mode that's his front, the fake truck front is really the front of his upper body in robot mode.aronjlove wrote:Powermaster Prime was my first Prime and I think he was one of the first figures to have "fake" kibble. His transformation was different and I didn't understand, at the time as a kid, why Prime had a fake truck front on his back. Now that's practically standard practice with certain types of characters.
Rodimus Prime wrote:And will we get a black redeco of either Cheetor or Tigatron as Ravage from the finale?
Beast Wars and TFTM share anniversary years since Beast Wars came out during the tenth anniversary of TFTM.
In addition to a bunch of Beast Wars stuff, one of the things that the leaker on TFW2005 mentioned was a Leader Slag with Daniel set. Well, guess what just got leaked via a Walmart listing?
Beast Wars is back on the menu, boys
Here's a summary of the leaks courtesy of TFW2005's Jtprime17.
Embedding:Basically the original source said all the following.
WFC 3 will be called Kingdom
The story line will be about the Autobots and Decepticons meeting the Maximals and Predacons via time travel.
So far the only BW characters included in the mainline that they saw were S1 characters
Micromasters are being cut for a new Size class called the “Core class”. It includes smaller figures of some big named G1 characters like Optimus and Megatron but also smaller characters like Rattrap and “Fossilizers”
“Fossilizers” are the new Weaponizers of the line. An example they used is that Of one being a Dinosaur that can be used as bone armor.
They also noted that Part 3’s titan and commander class figures weren’t BW related characters.
specific figures they mentioned.
Core class:
Optimus Prime
Megatron
Rattrap
Deluxe:
Cheetor
Airazor
Voyager:
Dinobot
Optimus Primal
G1 Inferno
Leader:
BW Megatron
Rodimus Prime with Trailer
Than they moved on to studio series and said the following figures we’re coming from the 86 Movie.
Voyager:
Scourge
Hot Rod
Leader:
Slag with Daniel
They also talked about some of their accessories specifically for Voyager Hot Rod and Deluxe Kup.
Kup comes with some energon goodies
Hot Rod comes with his Saw blade and a Flip down visor.
There may have been more that I missed.
We’ll have to wait and see if the rest plays out true.
Addendum with the stuff Jtprime missed in his catch-all post:
-BW Scorponok was seen by the leaker, price point/size class was not mentioned
-Fossilizers are confirmed to be present in both the Core and Deluxe classes
-G1 Inferno is a retool of ER Grapple, not a new mold for WFC 3 (arguably a given)
-No G1 Insecticons/Deluxe Insecticons seen in the first 2 waves
-Potential Slammer retool coming, no mention of what mold it's retooled from
"a time travel adventure where Rodimus and friends..."ZeroWolf wrote:That's likely not the full line up, besides it's being touted as a time travel adventure where Rodimus and friends meets Primal and friends. When you factor in exclusives there's a lot of space to bring in more beast wars
Oh snap!
You just made me realize that this scenario isn't just a mix of "Beast Wars and G1" or "Beast Wars and TFTM", but more specifically like a mix of "Beast Wars and Time Wars!!!"
Sadly, I don't think we'll get anything that deep. If the Netflix show gets to telling this line's story, there only so much they can fit into about six episodes (assuming the episode count remains the same) that need to not only advertise many new toys but also continue the story begun with Siege and carried over into Earthrise.AllNewSuperRobot wrote:As an aside, if this all pans out as true and makes it into the show. I would be interested to see interaction between the two eras. Not in one of those trite team-ups that appeal to a 10y/o, either. Beast Wars left so much vague and unaddressed. How Maximal (and Predacon) society actually works. Plus, in The Agenda, they do seem to have reverence/respect for Ravage. He was just a cassette. How would Primal react to the chosen leader of the Autobot's future?
And with the very good possibility that all of the Autobots/Decepticons and Maximals/Predacons will be of equal size to each other (instead of the Maximals/Predacons being human-sized), we can likely rule this out as a separate continuity from the old BW cartoon that we know and love.
The beasts are taking over! An image of the poster from the third part of the Transformers War for Cybertron trilogy has been found on Facebook. It further confirms the name Kingdom along with showing us loads of Beast Wars characters next to G1 mainstays Optimus Prime, Megatron and Bumblebee. All the Beast Wars characters are in their season 1 form adn include:
Optimus Primal
Cheetor
Airazor
Tigatron
Dinobot
Blackarachnia
Scorponok
Rattrap
A few people brought this up and sent us the info such as Stargrave, Sabrblade and Verno. Let us know what you think!
On a note related to both of these, I came across this notion elsewhere:Imagine if you will:
An Inferno with a propeller-butt that can't spin
A Dinobot with a rotating blade that doesn't spin
A Scorponok with molded-in missiles in his claw that can't fire
Rhinox with chain guns that can't spin
All these and more in WFC: Kingdom!
Such has been the nature of the current toys' utter lack of spring-loaded gimmicks since CW Megatron.
Next year's toys would have already been planned and designed during his tenure, so the next line after Kingdom would be the first one done without him.Sentinel_Primal wrote:Honestly, I wouldn't doubt itZeedust wrote:...I wonder if this is connected to Warden leaving the Transformers team (be it cause or effect).I assume that next year's titan's going to be Metroplex then because he wanted to give it a go, and the other one's a bit out of date

Right, poor wording on my part. I meant "exclusive" as in "exclusive to the Earthrise line", to say that that's the line Ratchet would most likely be released in. Had a momentary brainfart on the word's more common use in this brand.ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:Or Earthrise mainline, considering Ironhide's status as an exclusive.Sabrblade wrote:G1 Inferno, yes. ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:Frankly, if Cheetor is a Deluxe, Primal would kinda have to be a Voyager to be taller than him as is proper, wouldn't he? Plus the gorilla mode is bulky, and they'd need plastic for weapons...
Megs and Dinobot would likewise need to be Voyagers for scale (especially with the mass of their dinosaur tails factored in).
ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:Characters I think will break the show scale: Cheetor and Tigatron. I don't think they'll make a separate, highly-similar mold just for the sake of having Tigatron be taller. Cheetor might get a separate mold for his Transmetal bod if they go that far, but I don't think they'll do it for his regular one.
ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:Rodimus Prime, there's a couple problems with what you said about Ravage. First, Ravage wasn't in the finaleHe was in a season finale, yes, but not the finale of the series.
More importantly, Ravage's body was an altered version of Transmetal Cheetor's, so doing him from Cheetor would only make sense if they go as far as doing the Transmetals.
ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:On the non-Beast side of things, I wonder if we'll see a re-do of the Dreadwing Duo in this line. The PotP ones tried, but Dreadwind was way off due to transformation and the combination was badly-engineered.

1. I was nitpicking Roddy's wording, hence the stuck-out-tongue emoticon. He specifically said "in the finale" with regards to Ravage in Beast Wars, and I was pointing out that while Ravage was in a season finale he wasn't in the series finale (which is what is usually meant when someone refers to the finale of a multi-season show)Nemesis Primal wrote:ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:Rodimus Prime, there's a couple problems with what you said about Ravage. I don't think Roddy Prime was talking about the series finale specifically, since so far we only have concrete evidence of BW Season 1 characters anyway, and I think he was suggesting it as just a way to get the character in there and further the G1 character roster in the line. I could see a Selects/Netflix Ravage from Cheetor selling regardless of accuracy to the original show or not.
No reason. But it wouldn't be the BW Ravage that everyone is truly craving.Nemesis Primal wrote:Also, considering the story/lore for this trilogy comes from a show based off nothing but the toys (since the comics and the show look to be too far apart to know if they're supposed to be 2 points in the same story yet, I feel), they could easily just justify it by having Ravage upgrade from cassette form to Cheetor repaint form in the show if they wanted, and then it would still be accurate to the actual story they're telling, regardless of it being BW-accurate (wonder when the novelty of typing THAT will wear off). This trilogy's (very loose) continuity already has a Cybertronian Nightbird, Battlemaster characters that weren't around in G1, Micromaster bases and citybot friends that have robot modes now, transforming Quintessons, and Barricade as a Datsun, why can't Ravage be a furry?
The problem with using the Aerialbot engineering is that in his G1 and in-fiction design, Dreadwind has a chest made from his plane front end. So frankly being a Mirage re-shell would have suited him better than the Skydive mold. But there's also the fact that the engineering for the signature combined jet mode is laughable: A single 5mm peg on Blackwing, plugged into Dreadwind's hand/foot port. That's it.Nemesis Primal wrote:ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:On the non-Beast side of things, I wonder if we'll see a re-do of the Dreadwing Duo in this line. I would much rather we keep the character redos to a minimum, but I also had zero attachment to that duo, so I only bought Dreadwind and was fine with him using Aerialbot engineering. At least if they did those two again, that would be more money saved/spent on BW characters instead for me.
...Close enough. And that's what I was talking about.Nemesis Primal wrote:ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:...But what does it matter?

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Rattrap.
ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote: But it wouldn't be the BW Ravage that everyone is truly craving.
There is a way to use their combiner hands to friction-lock their wings together for a slightly more secure combination, but that's for another thread.ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:But there's also the fact that the engineering for the signature combined jet mode is laughable: A single 5mm peg on Blackwing, plugged into Dreadwind's hand/foot port.
