The proportions definitely look awkward. Still getting him though, he's pretty cool. The battle damage doesn't bother me either

It kinda makes me want Optimus Primal* in purple but doesnt make me want the Galvatron figure. TR will more than do for now, unless Kingdom has a gun mode (that isnt crap)

*might also be cool to get a BW Megs or SS Grimlock repainted in Optimus colours for a Rescue Bots nod.

I got Dinobot today, while he isn't as great as Optimus Primal, Megatron or Blackarachnia, it's still an okay toy. The robot mode is really well done, and I don't dislike the raptor mode as much as I thought I would, it looks decent when posed certain ways.
I also pre-ordered Airazor alongside Dinobot from Kapow Toys, but when I got the delivery Ractonite was in there instead of Airazor. I've contacted Kapow to ask if I can return Ractonite and have Airazor sent out, their website says she's still in stock so it should be fine.

Wait a sec. Looking at that pic, I think I get what the battle damage is supposed to resemble: paint scratches. Like, imagine that all of Galvatron's purple is actually a paint job he's wearing. Now look at the battle damage like it's where his purple paint has been scraped off, revealing gray/silver metal underneath his purple paint job, as though to say his true color is gray (like the 1986 toy) and that the purple is merely covering his toy-colored true appearance. :-B

He looks like he was designed with the cannon mode as the priority. The robot mode is definitely too fat. I'm waiting to see some comparison pics with the TR voyager.

As for the 'battle damage' I thought it might represent the Matrix reflections from the TF:TM scene where Hot Rod finally opens it after ripping it off the chain.

Well, it just mean one thing. Were's still waiting for the true official pictures and especially high quality in hand pictures of people who know how to transform Transformers and how to take photos. No fluff, not amateur montage, the REAL thing.

It's clearly not. It looks like it was taken a bit from above, and too close for the lens they were using to not deform the picture.

And this is why I was hoping Galvatron wouldn't be leaked. Can you imagine how terrible BW Megs would've looked if leakers got to him first??
You'd think people who pay big bucks for insiders to steal samples would know how to transform and properly photograph the things. :-?

If you want to play that game, compare TR Astrotrain with Siege Astrotrain. TR is much taller but he's paper thin. Siege is much more THICC and his train mode is MASSIVE even without the tender.

It will be the same thing with this Galvatron.
