I finally got my Beat Megs in the mail (Amazon updated it saying delivered when it wasn't, spoke to my mail carrier later that week and she found it and brought to my house after hours WHOOT) and he is GLORIOUS!. When I bought Dinobot, after about day two (Transformed him maybe three times, gently) does anyone else noticed where his hip spins it wobbles a bit more? Now I'm afraid to turn him into Raptor mode and back...from here may just keep him posed in robot mode.

Sounds about right. I have the Golden Lagoon Starscream, which is about half gold plastic, and half gold chrome, but I know many of the other Golden Lagoon toys have a lot of chrome, and don't seem to have any issues.
See ya in 15 years.

I've only been keeping the selects. Also the CC and Titan Boxes. The WFC artwork is amazing, hopefully they collect it all in an artstyle book someday.

Maybe.
I'm only keeping the Selects for reasons. All the other mainline boxes go straight to the recycling bin. Including the SS cardboard backdrops. I also take the time to separate the plastic windows from the cardboard of the boxes.

Good on you.
I just think the packaging is stellar and almost consider it a part of the toy. But three stories in and well...I need to get rid of it.

Boxes take a LOT of room. I throw a lot of them away, but I'm still keeping too much. Choices need to be made. And soon.

I used to keep boxes. Then I realized I was never going to display them, and the only reason to hold them was to possibly, slightly increase resale value on stuff I usually had no intention of ever selling.
Just chuck 'em. Trust me, you will save a ton of space and feel nothing for them once they're out of the house.

I'm sort of in that place right now. For pre-WFC, I only saved the cardback since they can all fit nicely within a bankers box. I have saved all the WFC boxes so far, and am reaching a point of selling some figures off, so I'll hang onto them a little bit longer for the slightly better resale value. But for the figures I know I'll have for a while (forever), those boxes are probably going to be recycled over the summer when I re-organize my basement to have a more permanent TF area.
But they are really pretty and I do feel bad ditching them. I will be saving the more special boxes (reflector 3 pack, pit of judgement, commanders and titans).

There is a fun an easy solution.
Make a scrapbook! Cut out the art from all the boxes and glue them on some hard paper in a huge binder of sort. build in little pockets for the instructions. It will save room and keep things organised!
I should have done that because all my instructions, I chuck them all randomly in a box. Finding a specific one is a pain.

The only boxes I tend to keep are the ones with accessories in them. Those with Extra hands/faces/weapons etc. Whereas the City Bot boxes were far too large to practically keep. At the other end of the spectrum, I've never kept blister cards either. As soon as I have a regular figure on display, they are staying there. So the packaging can go. Which is why most of the time when I source older figures from Transformerland, eBay etc I opted for those unboxed. Cheaper too.

I've kept every single WFC box I have gotten so far (Siege, ER, Netflix, and Kingdom), except Scorponok. I used to not care about packaging, but I also never used to buy figures new. However, starting with the Prime Wars trilogy, I've been buying all my figures new, and keeping the boxes for them.
I also keep all the Studio Series boxes, but that's barely relevant here.

Well in my case it's not even a difficulty, as I never intended to throw mine out. I guess it all depends on what the boxes mean to your collection. Several other members have shared how they view the boxes. Some like them, some don't. I use them as background art for my display. So think about how you view your collection. Are they always on display? Do you store some of them? Do you have the room? Do you view them as part of the collection, or extra (but not unnecessary) leftovers? Once you figure out if the boxes are important, you can decide if you want to keep them.sol magnus wrote:Definitely not helping, LOL.
Personally, I think if you have the storage space, keep them. If you're worried about them being an eyesore, put them in a closet. Once out of sight, they will be out of mind. Maybe down the road when you're moving or decide to get rid of some of them, you'll be glad you kept the boxes. As long as you keep the inner plastic bubbles, or the cardboard in the case of the Kingdom figures.

I save all of my boxes from every line, though most of them I remove any filler and flatten them out. As someone that's been buying toys their entire life and still has a lot of their childhood toys I have a lot of regrets tossing 80s and 90s packaging. Today I consider the packaging and art part of the collection.

Just looked at HasbroPulse and happened upon Beast Megatron being back in stock there. I had yet to see any leaders in stores near me except for 1 OP during the early days of Wave-1's release, so I snagged that bad boy up. If anyone has yet to be able to grab one I would definitely recommend jumping onto Pulse, because that toy is likely to be all bought up in no time.

I tend to keep boxes too. But pre-WFC trilogy I mostly cut out the front/side art. I need to do something with the newer ones though. What Ive done with the Titan, CC boxes is velcro them to the wall for the art. They also double as shelves to display figures.

Yesterday, I went to my closest Walmart, they must have received 2 cases of Voyagers, because there were 6 Dinobots and NO Inferno's (I know they come 2 Dinobots for 1 Inferno). However, even though Inferno has fewer toys, this to me speaks more about the gulf between The Original Transformers and Beast Wars in terms of sheer popularity. I mean personally I love BW. I know almost everyone here does also. I want the line to succeed because I want to see more BW toys in the future however... When a tertiary character like Autobot Inferno sells seemingly better than *arguably* the most popular character in all of BW...well, it's just food for thought.
The same thing happened with wave 1. I only ever saw a Single Cyclonus one time, but have seen Primal more often. Now the good news is, those Primal's still also sell relatively quickly, they don't shelf warm. In fact, nothing from Kingdom does because it seems they are shipping far fewer of them.
Also, as popular as Dinobot is, I know there have been some fair criticisms of the look of the new toy. I go to that store once a week. If most or all of those Six Voyagers are gone by next week, that will be encouraging.

I saw the same thing about 2 weeks ago trying to find the Netflix deluxes. I grabbed the last Inferno, the Dinobots were gone in less than a week.

I'd say it varies by location. My closest Walmart has had constantly empty Voyager shelves every time I've gone there lately, my second-closest Walmart had one Inferno but zero Dinobots, my third-closest Walmart had two Dinobots and no Infernos, and my fourth-closest Walmart had empty Voyager shelves just like the first-closest.
Every Target by me has also had empty Voyager shelves.
And I never saw the Wave 1 Voyagers at any of my stores.
