I can't tell if it's a combination of angle and black plastic but I think he has a new beast head? That's something I've been hoping for.

So, having had rodimus for about a week, I can safely say that he does feel like a commander class figure, in his parts count and some of the transformation details. I completely understand the sentiment about his price compared to his size, but he honestly feels like a masterpiece figure without the obscene price tag and overpriced fluff TT has been shoving into recent MP figures of late. All the small details like the pistons on the rear ramp, the butterfly shoulder joints, the arm transformation, the hands just really make the figure feel like the designers really used the budget on him instead of slapping a price tag on him.

Lucked out and found the Ark back on pre-order on Amazon while I was at work Thursday night. Slapped $60 in gift cards on it so I got it down to $120 after tax. Sold out before I got home so I didn't get a chance to post about it. Has a release date of 9/1, not sure if that's the same as earlier pre-orders or not. Hope that date holds because work forgot to pay me for a week I was on vacation and I wont see that money until next Friday.

Both Rodimus and the Ark say arrival date of 9/3 on my orders page. Can't wait! Pictures of Teletraan-1 show it in scale with Optimus.

Indemand are getting their first shipment of Kingdom wave 3 this week, so if all goes well I should have the Tracks, Scorponok and Rhinox I pre-ordered back in May by the end of this week. Scorponok also will also mark the first time I've ever bought an upgrade kit for a Transformer. A company named So Cool have made leg extenders for his robot mode that increase the height of his thighs so he's no longer a manlet, but they do seem to mess up the scorpion mode quite a lot, so I may remove them whenever I transform him. I've also seen an upgrade kit for Tracks being advertised that fix his dodgy knee joints, I plan on buying that too.

I found this upgrade kit for Tracks that I will probably get for Road Rage if she ever drops. I follow JRC Design on Twitter and they've made some really cool stuff. My first purchase was their G2 Megatron upgrade kit.

A picture of the upcoming Transformers deluxe Kingdom Shadow Panther surfaced late last week on the Shopee website and was reposted on Twitter. Shadow Panther is a redeco of the Kingdom deluxe Cheetor mold with a new headsculpt homaging the mutant head that option that came with the original toy (and Cheetor's). For those unaware, every mold from the original 1996 Beast Wars line, bigger than a basic, had a robot head and a mutant head. While most of the show characters used the robot heads (like Cheetor and Blackarachnia), some used the mutant heads (like Tarantulas and Waspinator). Shadow Panther is part of Kingdom's fourth wave, and will be out in the 4th quarter of 2021. This is a mainline toy and not an exclusive. And while the image shows 2 tail weapons, he will only come with 1.

*Hums Beast Wars theme*. Here's an idea: What if Kingdom just never ended? Give us the entire cast from all 3 Beast Wars Seasons and 2 Beast Machines Seasons, then go back and redo every character that wasn't in either show.

And then when we've had enough Beast Era, move onto 2001 RID and the Unicron Trilogy. I've really enjoyed this year's releases and I'd be distraught if Hasbro retreated back to G1 as early as next year.

Hasbro Pulse UK hasn't made a very good first impression. EVERYTHING is delayed 'til September. I've been using Pulse as a sort of bookmark to guarantee I'll get the figure, but the second anybody else gets it first, I Judas to the max and cancel. Why is it last to get its own produce?

Why would Hasbro get it sooner? It's not like everything going out to retailers first goes through Hasbro. Their branded site is just another storefront.

I don't have FOMO, I don't have room to unpack every order the second it comes in. It just seems like people have unrealistic expectations or take delays personally.

While everything you said is correct, the answer really is 'legal agreements.'

If Pulse got everything first, Hasbro would be direct selling to consumers AND beating all the distribution to the punch. There would be zero reason to buy toys at Walmart, Target whatsoever. Of course, there's the other idea that if Hasbro did that, those stores would have no reason to carry their product.

I use Pulse to guarantee that I get something I want, but if I find it in the store - sometimes yes, sometimes no - then I buy it in the store and depending whether or not it's something I need for my son, then I cancel or keep the pre-order. I never, however, expect to get anything from Pulse first.

I don't have FOMO, I don't have room to unpack every order the second it comes in. It just seems like people have unrealistic expectations or take delays personally.

I'm not usually this paranoid with pre-orders, but since its Beast Wars and after stuff like Gigawatt and Netflix Bumblebee becoming difficult/impossible to get I do whatever I can to get something in hand as soon as legally possible.

And you're right. Folk like me do expect too much of Hasbro Pulse.

I'd say the one exception to that should be Selects, since they are offered directly from Pulse. Although some other online retailers may offer them as well. One would think Pulse would get Selects first, unfortunately that isn't the case either.

That's not how any of this works. Even as the "official" retailer for the release, it's not like the toys are processed or delayed by Hasbro en route to the specialty retailers. To my knowledge Hasbro doesn't mandate strict-on-sale dates for any of these products.

Seeing as how instead of wave 3 we got wave 1 again, I not holding out any hope to see wave 4.

But I'd buy him in a heartbeat if I did

Pre-orders are a joke! I ended up canceling all my pre-orders this year except for the Quintesson Pit Of Judgement (because it's exclusive). I found all of the other stuff in stock first on ebay or at Walmart & Target. Except for titan Scorponok, I just nabbed him from EntertainmentEarth, they had 1 in stock so I pounced on it. The only pre-orders I won't be canceling are the Shattered Glass at Pulse (unless they show up on ebay first). Pre-orders are the dumbest thing to ever hit toy collecting.

Oh yeah, I also have the Botcon Wasp Raider & MOTU Revelation Scare Glow pre-ordered which I paid for already. They took my money & now I have to wait months for them to ship. Which is the worst kind of pre-order BS. I didn't need that money tied up for 3 or 4 months. I could have simply paid them right when they were ready to ship.
