Rtron wrote:The wings are new, so it can't be degradation. It's probably one of the things jelze said. Mine still hasn't shipped, it just says "order received". But I ordered it from Amazon, not Pulse.
Sabrblade wrote:The thing is, there is no tolerance on the peg of the one wing that keeps popping off. Airazor, Skywarp, and Terrorsaur's other wing all use the same pegs that hold their wings in place just fine. But the one wing of Terrorsaur's that keeps popping off is held only by the peg's slippery friction. It has no "catch" to keep the wing securely attached. That part of the peg is smooth and curves inward instead of out-then-inward like on the pegs of Airazor's wings, Skywarp's wings, and Terrorsaur's good wing.
Now that is fixable. The midsections of the wings are upside-down, but can be easily popped off and popped back on right-side-up.Jelze Bunnycat wrote:... and I just read that Terrorsaur wings have a potential to be misassembled, the classic L/R switch for the connectors to the body. Lovely.

I'm still waiting for my Core Hot Rod to ship from Pulse too. Seems to be taking a long time for something that was in stock.
That'd probably first depend on how well the initial release of the mold sells.Rtron wrote:I've been thinking, maybe there's a chance we get a Beast Machines repaint of Dragon Megatron? At least as a Selects figure? I doubt they'd do a release with the full control garb as it'd push the toy beyond leader price range. But third parties and 3D printers can take care of that.

Since the Legacy line is pulling characters from other series, I would like to see that Megatron redone into Prime Predaking.Rtron wrote:I've been thinking, maybe there's a chance we get a Beast Machines repaint of Dragon Megatron? Zero reuses of this mold are currently leaked or rumored, people are assuming Cryotek is in the pipeline somewhere because he's the only pre-existing repaint of that design in the same way people assume a new Starscream = Seeker repaints.sol magnus wrote:Sabrblade wrote:That'd probably first depend on how well the initial release of the mold sells.Rtron wrote:I've been thinking, maybe there's a chance we get a Beast Machines repaint of Dragon Megatron? I thought Cryotek was the re-use of this upcoming mold?

They've already charged me and I can't cancel the order, so I guess there's just some kind of fulfillment delay. BB Kup hasn't been charged but also can't be cancelled, so there might bea similar hold up there.

I wonder if it was an error of some kind since they don't seem to stock smaller items, and then when people actually started ordering it, they had to scramble to find a supply. Usually items that sell out just show " out of stock" for up to 2 years or more. The fact that it disappeared without a trace so quickly is odd
*Edit* well it's back now but it was gone for a couple days interesting

I don't see why they couldn't work both into the same mold. All it would really need is an alternate helmet (or make it so the TM2 helmet can spin around so his mask is on the back and gives the BM look when front facing) and for the wings to be able to fold around the body. I'd rather have that than the awful vehicle mode (which we probably wont get anyway.

Y'all are forgetting that Megatron's deco was different in Beast Machines from his normal TM2 dragon deco. His robot head (under the helmet) was gray w/ a blue face instead of black w/ a silver face (his purple face changed to silver as a TM2), and his dragon mode had yellow, brown, gray, blue, and purple tech scars all over his body.AcademyofDrX wrote:Emerje wrote:Rtron wrote:I've been thinking, maybe there's a chance we get a Beast Machines repaint of Dragon Megatron? Personally I don't want a repaint, I would hope for the cape/cloak functionality in the base toy. Either the wings are engineered to do that or they're not. If the Legacy figure is a more pure BW season 3 / TM2 toy, then I would hope for a future Megabolt style figure.

There aren't enough differences between the two that I want two different figures, and like I indicated before, I'd rather have a different alt-mode for a figure that's exclusively Beast Machines.
I'm getting a fourth Kingdom Galvatron, I want that to be the exception rather than the rule, especially for a generally less popular character variant.

If a repaint happened, which it probably won't and is probably just wishful thinking on my part, you can just not buy it if you don't care for it, it's fine. And the existence of a dragon Megatron repaint probably wouldn't preclude the existence of a giant head Megatron, as new molds and repaints don't seem to share slots.
I do however think that both a Beast Machines repaint and a Megahead Megatron are extremely unlikely. But I'd personally like one, if we can have 4 Galvatrons for the G1 obsessed, we can have a couple dragon Megatrons for the Beast Wars compulsives.
