CHMS did an awesome job on the seeker, classic prime, and sideswipe molds. No issues with those guys. The upsized BH Abominus is also pretty solid. There is a small selection of high quality KOs made for collectors. Planet X Swoop got the upsize treatment. Also shadow emissionary Hexatron got a nice KO according to Tsu. Not all KOs are the low quality florescent colored kiddie toys you speak of. A high quality downsized KO of warbotron for around $150-175 would be a home run. Lots of people passed on him only because of scale reasons.

When I told folks how great Air Burst was and how in I was on this set at that point, I got lots of indifference (don't go looking for posts, I'm talking irl).

Since CW Devy got announced, seen a lot more interest in this. I think they're gonna look great next to each other scale wise.

Well he would probably look great next to the UniqueToys Abominus, but even the current large scaled combiners look small in comparison

I dunno, maybe i just like my Bruticus as a nimble mercenary bot

That photo towering over Herc officially killed it for me. I might also pass on Hasbrostator as well. I just hate big for nothing figures. Its not like im gonna play with him kiddie style. Scale harmony is super important to me.

Get Hasbro Devy and flip it in a year or two.....mine may stay misb unless I get a bunch of free masterpieces lol.

Had it been maybe just a head taller than Herc......would have been the best combiner look so far.

For me the matchup I'd like to see is with Uranos.

But Uranos is a full head taller then Herc, so Warbotron & Uranos may actually be really good together. I really don't mind Bruticus being a little bigger ... he's a brute after all!

The 45 CM height shown is to the top of the guns/shoulders, not top of the head.

To the top of the head, he may only be about a 1/2 inch taller than Uranos, which will be 100% OK for me.

I also have the 1" leg extensions for Herc. I don't use them because he would not fit in his spot on the shelf, but he will probably move with the other combiners soon, so I'll use them then.

Yeah, it's too big. I have two scales in my combiners right now - TFC and FP/MT. And both of them are outdoing each other when it comes to scale. to the point where there's been a sort of equilibrium. And the new Combiner Wars stuff seems smack in the middle of the two - which is great.

But this is too much. It'll probably look great next to Titan Devestator and Ordin, but enough's enough. I'm not moving into another scale.

For a long time I was completely resistant to the idea of other combiners being bigger than Devastator.

My mind is slowly changing though.

The Scramble City style combiners have different considerations, like the addition of the feet and the Leader-ish sized torso figures.

I'm all but resolved to get this now.

We'll see how it goes.

Don't falter now!

Just kiddin.

The G1 combiner hierarchy (in my head) goes a lil somthin like this:
-Predaking is #1.
-Devastator is a little shorter than him.
-All other scramble city combiners are shorter than Devy, but all roughly same height as each other.

And thanks to TFC Ares & Hercules, FP Intimidator & Bruticus, MT Quantron, and even HasTak's Combiner Wars (Superion so far) everything is going according to plan!
